Why did Sega fail to include correct #'s in NCAA BB 2k3?

To me, this is a no-brainer. Sega should have included the correct numbers in the game and allowed us to edit names just as NCAA Football 2003 did. I know there were some errors in 2003, but it was 95% correct. If I were running a game company, all numbers, height, weight, year, etc. would be dead-on accurate to allow users to edit them with their real names. In fact, I would even give them a fictitious name that was very similar to their real name. For example, Brett Nelson from Florida would be "Rhett Melson". That would make it easier for everyone to figure out who was who. There is no excuse for not allowing number changes, which apparently they don't. I hope the game is good, though.

yeah i hear ya. I cannot believe that SEGA would forget (or didnt choose) to put this feature in this game. ESPECIALLY A COLLEGE GAME. But either way, I can't wait to play this thing.

I have to ask that same question.

        Sega may get it right.

Of course the odds are that there will be several mistakes when you consider the research involved with 300+ teams.

The ability to change numbers should be present. Does it affect the gameplay? Probably not.

Two more days until all is revealed/

i feel your pain but with a deep dynasty mode it won't matter after 4 years anyway. but of course this does effect online play so again i see the point of frustration

I was responding to kpeercy. He seems to know more about this game than me and I think that I have read everything out in cyberworld twice that has anything to do with this game!

I will be waiting on the xbox version and even then I still may have to wait until xmas!

I am getting my kids an xbox for xmas this year

Sega is pretty consistent at getting big things wrong. One thing they seem to have a real problem with is color. When I first saw the college football on Dreamcast I was surprised to see uniforms that weren't the right color and didn't match the team style either. To hear a team like Kentucky plays on a court that isn't "kentucky blue" doesn't surprise me.

I give these companies 2 yars before a game is ready for college basketball that rivals NCAA Football 2003 in terms of dynasty and replication of NCAA College Basketball.

I'm gonna wait until I see the rosters to say that they're wrong. As long as they have all the major teams right, and the other ones close(can't really expect perfection), I'll be happy. Assuming the gameplay is good, that is.

Hey Montezuma, that's true.....in NFL 2k3 the Vikings uniform color (the shade of purple) was way off......
