cba2k3: To Jumpsteal or not to Jumpsteal

My roomate and I play the XBox version of the game, and he thinks the jumpsteal disrespects the integrity of the game, because if you get good at the skill you can accomplish it at least 1 out of every 3 trips on defense. I can see that turnover rates are much higher when I jumpsteal and lower when I don't. Just wondering what others thought about this tactic.

1 out of 3??? Try almost every time down the floor. I find that when you use that too much, the turnovers are ridiculously high. It's something Sega needs to fix, but avoid it if you want a realistic game. Concentrate on staying in front of your man, and let the computer controlled players jump into the passing lanes.

Against another human everything is fair play.

Against the CPU stick to the reach in steal and only use the jump steal when the offense is ahead of you on the fast break.

krobarts.... i think that jumpstealing is very "cheap" against the computer. Be a man and try and win fair and square.

You don't like Memphis eh? I was born there, but I've lived in Texas for 13 years now. I'll give the "no jumpsteal" gameplay a try, thanks for your input.

I don't do the jumpsteal move anymore. The game is just too easy using that move. I could probably win everygame I play by just stealing the ball everytime down the floor.

I'm playing a legacy right now with Wake Forest, after going through Florida A&M and Oregon. I was hoping to get the UNC job, but its never been offered to me.
