Ahhh its good to be hated again. Rivals giving us preferential treatment...our coaches getting away with recruiting violations...our university avoiding playing big-time programs in future seasons...kicking players off the team in a rude manner...




Gotta love it.




By the way conspiracy theorists with one big thing in common, none of Alabama's commits moved up much if any this last rankings go around. In fact, several dropped.

Ahmad Dixon dropped out because his interest in Auburn skyrocketed, he's now seriously considering Auburn, wants to visit twice next season and in January. To make the bammers happy, rivals dropped him out and put LaDarius Owens in.

Owens's interest in bama grew slightly, and he announces next week. Since he has a shot at bama they upped his rating. That's the only way to explain it.

Jake Holland should be ranked ahead of Owens, but because he committed to Auburn he isn't. Holland and Owens played on the same field for their spring game, and Holland outshined Owens, and Nigel Terrel. Now Holland is stuck at a 3 star.


Oh and did anyone else notice how DeMarcus Milliner jumped to 5 star and was all over rivals the week before he committed to bama? Coincidence?

Stupidest post in the thread thus far. Considering the source, really not surprised.

I don't really care and am aware that him dropping 8 spots does not make him a worse player, but I guarantee if he'd committed to Notre Dame he wouldn't have dropped out of the top 100.

I don't know, dropping him 8 spots doesn't sound like he's being pushed out of the top 100 just because of what school he signed with. He barely made the top 100 in the first place and reading his profile on rivals, it doesn't appear he went out and lit the world on fire like other guys who moved up. It appears he didn't help or hurt himself this summer and was just passed by guys who did go out and performed well(Cullen Christian for example).

Anyway, Friday Night Lights going on tonight in Gainesville. Georgia and FSU put on similar things last weekend, but with only one big school having something this weekend there are a ton of highlt touted guys at Ben Hill Griffin tonight. Could be a few commitments for UF this weekend or at least positioning themselves better with some of their top targets(Mack Brown, Ronald Powell, etc.) Gridiron Kings going on in Orlando this weekend as well, some of the guys at FNL are going there as well this weekend.

In kind of a weird commitment Dexter Blackmon commits to LSU. Apparently he was at a recent LSU camp and performed well enough to earn a scholly. From what I hear about his performance at Auburn's camp last weekend he has a little quickness, but not too physically impressive.

Maybe a diamond in the rough.

I saw Amhad Dixon play in a playoff game last year. He didn't really stand out to me in terms of being a top 100 player in the nation. I will likely see him again this season so I'll make my way back to this thread in a couple of months.

Chad Slade commits to Auburn.

His offer list isn't huge right now, but he's 6'6'' 320 and impressed Coach Grimes both times he camped at Auburn, I'll take him. We need all the line help we can get. I keep hearing he has loads of potential.

Little update on this: Mack Brown is the only one that's gone public. Dunkley says he hasn't committed yet, but word from other prospects and some current players is that he's a Gator. He did say the Gators are his favorite and it sounds like they'll be tough to knock off. Everyone who was at the event said he was the best player on the field so he might be getting a big boost in the next rankings(of course it won't be based on talent, but because he's a Gator lock...). Easley said he was on the verge of committing Saturday morning, but no word on if he did as I post this. According to the guys on rivals, the coaches are meeting tomorrow to re configure the board. Some guys who want to committ at this time, might not have that chance after Monday. One of those guys might be WR James Louis who wanted to commit last week but was supposed to meet with Meyer this weekend before going public. Some are saying he might not have the grades or the Gators are after better players and want to keep that spot open.

Now my Michigan side: Psy, what's going on with Michigan and Dior Mathis? I've read that he and Michigan are done? I'm surprised because I thought he'd be a lock when I started paying attention to 2010 recruits.
