Yeah, not the greatest pic of Orr there. Not sure if it's a joke or something to be worried about...hoping it's not the latter.

More Gator recruiting news: Dwyer WR Robert Clark made the switch from WVU to UF. He's teammates with Matt Elam and Gerald Christian. Gonzales leaving didn't have much of an effect on him. Reading around that Ronald Powell could be announcing his committment to UF next week.

I am sure I could find plenty of pictures/stories on anyone here at OS and say the same thing. I don't say this because he's a UF recruit, but because as I've started looking at recruiting more it bothers me to see "fans" acting like children over these recruits. They're kids...we don't know them...we shouldn't be making judgments on anyone's character. Now, if you showed me a mugshot and a story that showed the kid was a criminal, I could buy off on the fact that maybe his character needs work. At this point, no dice.

I agree with you that we as a whole get a little stupid getting caught up in recruiting sometimes, but you have to be kidding me if you think this picture doesn't speak to his character. My man, he's posing with a gun. Now be honest, when you see pics of a young black male posing with guns and flashing gang signs you automatically give them the benefit of the doubt?

Of course, it doesn't necessarily mean he's going to get in trouble while at Florida but it damn sure won't help his case if he does. If these guys get to Florida and start acting up, these pictures will still be there for all the UF supporters to say "We should have seen this coming."

Also, hard to believe that kid is 6'4 295 from that pic.

Oh, I agree that the picture is stupid and not in good taste at all. I was more reacting to reading the comments in the link that was posted. People go way overboard on these kids.

If this kid ends up at UF and causes trouble, you would have to say Urban and company should have done their homework.

Just watched a video interview of 5 star RB Marcus Lattimore at the Carolina High School Shrine Game practice.

On-Auburn "I love Auburn. I love the city, the coaches, everything about it. They have Michael Dyer but we'll...umm...we would both carry the ball."

On South Carolina-"To tell you the truth, if I was going there I would be committed right now. But...I don't know. "

On why he is still considering Auburn after AU got Dyer and if it "dropped" AU in his mind. "Not at all. Not at all. I mean, we'd both get the ball."

On which running back he most looks up to/models himself after-"Ronnie Brown. Definitely Ronnie Brown. I love the Wildcat. I ran it in High School. I'm excited about it."

We are in VERY good shape with this kid. War Damn 5 star tailbacks!!

Here is an article with quotes from Trail and Orr about the photos. One of the rivals guys who covers the state of Florida says Trail was pretty mad about the whole thing because he tries to be a role model in his area (Trail has a 3.4 GPA and speaks to middle school kids in his area about academics and doing things the right way). If they get in trouble at UF then people will point to these photos, but I don't think judgement can be passed on them based on pictures of them in middle school.

Okay, Orr's story I'll buy since he does look so much smaller in the photo, but Trail doesn't look much different in that photo than he does now.

I don't think that's too big of a deal. They kinda know each other, and both are pretty cool with the prospect of communication. Dyer is actually helping recruit Lattimore to Auburn.

Furman, Grimes and Murphy are just about done deals. Hankins is a UM/OSU tug-of-war right now, with Hankins' Sparty coach trying his hardest to sway him away from Michigan. They're fading away for Kenny Stills and Tony Jefferson, but if USC lands Jefferson and remains in a good spot for Dietrich Riley and/or Marquis Flowers, that just might nudge Sean Parker toward UM (still too early to say on that, though).

Lattimore is a silent to the Gamecocks in my opinion. I dont have any sources just a hunch. I think that if i were going to SC i would already be committed is just a swerve. He will be in Columbia next fall.
