Five-star defensive end Ronald Powell is now on the consideration list to announce at the Army Bowl after not appearing on the original list, meaning Powell is at least thinking about making his decision on television at the game. If that happens it obviously bodes very well for Florida. One source said Monday that Powell is a done deal to the Gators already and is leaning towards getting things over with.

It's no surprise that Notre Dame defensive end commit Blake Lueders is looking around a little bit. The rumors have been present for more than a week and it follows an in-person meeting with new head coach Brian Kelly nearly a month ago. Lueders and his family want to make sure that Notre Dame is the place for him and that he is a fit with Kelly and the new coaching staff he eventually fills out. He will take an official to Stanford on Jan. 15, where Jim Harbaugh and his new hire, former Notre Dame assistant coach Brian Polian, will do their best to swing him to the Cardinal. Right now it seems about 50/50 whether or not Lueders remains with the Irish.

Interesting, being a RB I'd have imagined there was some contact with Gran though. I don't know how hard FSU is pursuing Mack Brown right now though, but FSU is usually good for turning 1 or 2 Gator commitments right before NSD.

That being said, what's up with Florida commitment Mack Brown? It seems like he is reopening the process again.

Sounds like he's surprised by the Carter news. Carter would have been his position coach and I did see them together during FNL when a buddy of mine was giving him a campus tour. Urban was recruiting him personally early on so that's probably the main "relationship" with UF that he has. I think it hurts UF some, depends on who they hire and what happens when he talks to Meyer. Would have been nice if Charlie Strong stuck to his word and wouldn't have taken any coaches with him to Louisville, but I don't blame him. UF needs to start paying more for their assistants, hopefully that starts with Bedford.

Yep, pretty sure he's going to UF.

It'd be too good to be true. I still think he's a Buckeye. Kids like to play the game and build up the suspense..ex: Campbell "dropped" Michigan before the Army game last year, Chris Dunkley said he would surprise people and had "roll Tide" as his FB status last week before putting on a Gator hat like everyone thought. Powell, Easley, and Floyd would be a hell of a DL class so I hope he does surprise people Saturday.

"I am up to 39 offers now," he said. "I want to take some visits during the summer and then I will probably narrow it down after that. Right now I am wide open. I just want to find a school with a stable coaching staff."

3* DT Johnathon Hankins verbals to tOSU.. big-time pickup for the Bucks as he represents the big guy in the middle we need given the shift to more of a 3-4 style system.

This kid's recruitment isn't going to end until he's in class for the first time next week wherever that may be. Whoever makes the last impression will get him.

A lot of talk of current UT commitment Markeith Ambles might receive an upgrade in rating to a 5*. Not that stars mean that much, but Ambles has been impressing during the AA practices.

UT has officially offered Nash Nance in a somewhat of a package deal to also land Da'rick Rogers. Both have set official visits to the Hill on January 22nd. Nance and Rogers were teammates in HS.

I know this isnt recruiting, but i didnt feel like starting a new thread. Cam Heyward and Chimdi Chekwa have announced thet they will be returning for their senior season at tOSU.
