Bush was 4th in the nation in rushing yards per game and led the nation in all-purpose yards per game averaging over 220 yards.

If you think Williams deserved the Heisman over Bush fine, at least get your facts correct.
Regardless of the stats he did or did not accumulate my question is if you're not even the best at your position how do you garner the "best " award in the land. You can keep talking about how much I don't know somebodys stats but at least have the nads to answer the actual question.

Reggie Bush was the best at his position. That was the consensus everywhere but Memphis.

Who the hell cares about what a college player does in the pros? I could care less what Jason White, Chris Weinke, Ricky Williams, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart and Tim Tebow do in the pros. I don't care at all. It's a college award. Not the NFL Europe developmental league.

Get out of here with the NFL this and that garbage. It's college football.

Is the Heisman quite a bit of hype? Definitely. Does it always go to the most deserving player? Not everytime. Is it sometimes given as a pseudo-lifetime achievement award? Sure. It has been.
Who cares about the Nfl and any of that. If you're not going to answer the question why bother to post? Obviously there are people who wish to respond to the thread so let them. Dont spoil they're fun. Nothing worse than bashing the opinions of others simply because you dont have your own.

Then the NFL should be pissed that Florida, Texas, OU, OSU, Michigan, and other top programs are running their own systems. That type of insubordination gets you fired in a real minor league.

Depends on the situation. Personally, I hope every single Auburn player that plays for NFC teams that aren't the Redskins sucks.

Tebow's NFL games won't win Florida more games (aside from maybe the recruiting factor)
Surely you dont mean the same Tom Brady that started 2 years for michigan and went 20 of 25? Citrus and Orangebowl wins both years also.... Yeah god knows he never played college ball......

As the preeminent stat man in the world, they do not.

Forgetting the fact that Bush had 178 more total yards of offense in a far better conference, Reggie Bush's rushing yards are far superior to DWill's.

DWill did have 224 more yards and 2 more TDs, but he also had 110 more carries and did so in a weaker conference. You're just bad at stats.

all I know is 1900 is more than 1700. And more 100 yard rushing games than anyone in College football history says he was better. So does more all purpose yards than bush. And for the record. The Pac 10 has Never been known as a refuge for defensive football. And lastly, if it were so easy then every bozo who walzed into any conference other than the sec and big 12 would have stats piled on top of stats. Everyone would run for 2200 plus yards every year. That's not the case. You telling me Jerry Rice had good stats because he went to Mississippi Valley? Or Randy Moss because he was at Marshall his stats are out of proportion? I can go on but I think a stats guy like you gets the point.

You neglected the amount of carries, again.

Let's just call it a draw and say that if Tebow wanted to be a running back he would have been half Bush/half DWill and cure cancer at the end of the game...mmmk?
