    OU is running a gauntlet this year. That schedule is no joke.

      Maryland

      @Cal-Win
      James Madison-Win
      Middle Tennessee State-Loss
      Rutgers-Win
      Clemson-Loss
      @Wake-Win
      UVA-Win
      @Duke-Win
      @NCState-Loss
      VTech-Loss
      @FSU-Win
      BC-Win

      8-4

      For this highly scientific prediction, I went to www.random.org/integers/

      and generated numbers. Aside from James Madison, SUNJ, Duke, and VTech, evens were wins and odds were losses.

        I feel like we should win this game at home. Our team should be pretty healthy, and I think us with a healthy O-Line and a healthy defense can win.

        I don't feel like this is a game we would lose at home.

        Of course it could just be another early afternoon game where we come out ridiculously flat, I hope that's not part of the Chizik regime as much as it was with Tuberville. Every once in a while with Tuberville we would just come out so flat it was ridiculous.

          Western Michigan - win
          Notre Dame - tossup
          Eastern Michigan - win
          Indiana - win
          @ Michigan State - tossup
          @ Iowa - loss
          Delaware State - win
          Penn State - tossup
          @ Illinois - loss
          Purdue - win
          @ Wisconsin - tossup
          Ohio State - loss

          5 wins, 3 losses, 2-2 in the tossup games = 7-5.

              With our teams from 2000-2007, the game wouldn't even be one I'd consider worrying about, but we were terrible and I've heard rumors that the Todd might start.

                It's really difficult to go undefeated and it also takes luck. The odds are stacked against OU as far as an undefeated season goes. I'll actually explain to you why OU won't go undefeated.

                Of OU's seven toughest games, only one is in Norman.

                @Miami
                @Nebraska
                @Kansas
                @Texas Tech
                Texas (Dallas)
                BYU (Arlington)

                Nebraska and Kansas will be top 25 teams and Miami could very well be a top 25 team. Texas is a top 5 team and a lot of people project BYU to be ranked around 15 or so. Texas Tech won't be as good but a 8-4 Texas Tech team beat OU in 2007.

                I think OU has a good shot at losing to Miami or on the road at Kansas. OU plays KU the week after the Texas game and could be licking their wounds a little bit. Last year when OU played Kansas the week after OU/Texas, Kansas lit up OU in Norman. KU has one of the best WR units in the nation, a gritty QB in Reesing, and a good coach in Mangino. I would not be surprised at all if Kansas beat OU.

                OU finishes up the year with a projected top 10 Oklahoma State team in Norman. OU has handled OSU in recent years but OSU is one of two teams to beat OU in Norman the past decade.

                I always project OU to lose two games and I'm sticking to that prediction this year as well. The schedule is too difficult to go through the season unscathed. Texas' schedule sets up a lot nicer as they play no one out of conference and only have one difficult game away from Austin.

                I think you greatly underestimate how tough OU's schedule is. Not to mention we need to shake the BCS bowl issues.

                I think you're underestimating OU. The only team that will give them legit trouble is Texas. Texas is legit. BYU? Pwn. Miami? Rape.
                Kansas? Pwn. Nebraska? Rape twice. OSU is the only other team besides Texas that could cause trouble, but OU would still win.

                That being said, the WORST they could do is 11-2 (losses to Texas and bowl game)

                If they beat Texas, they'll go undefeated until they play Florida, which is really a toss-up, but I'll go with OU

                  Man, you just lost all credibility thinking that Miami is rape. They dont call it "The U" for nothing. Miami has done a little "raping" of some past OU teams if I recall correctly. Now...I am not saying Miami is going to win...but if you think Oklahoma is walking into Miami Stadium and walking over the 'Canes then you are not very well-informed. OU wins by 10 or less.

                    This isn't the 80s or early 2000s. Those teams would be favored over this OU team, but Miami sucks at this point. OU beat them last year by what, 30 or 40?

                    The Chokies are definitely in my bottom 5 of least liked teams, but they should wreck the Canes.

                      A) oklahoma did not play Miami last season, so they did not beat them

                      B) No it's not the 80's, 90's or the 2001, but Miami IS Miami and Oklahoma has always had problems beating teams from the SEC, ACC and apparently the Big East too.

                      C) Miami is an improved team over last season by far in Randy Shannon's 3rd season on the job

                      D) Lastly, VaTech lost to a mediocre Miami team last season, what makes you think they will "OWN" them this season?

                        The thing with Todd is that his arm was ****ed up last year, if he does win the starting spot, then obviously his arm is fine.

                        I've heard that the off-season surgery really helped him, even to the point where Ben Tate was asking Todd to take a little steam off of his passes this summer.

                        I have confidence that our best qb will start, if that is Todd then I think he might do ok.

                        All that said I hope the starter is Caudle. Kodi just can't throw, Todd is kind of a scary thought at the moment, and I don't even want to consider starting some hotshot freshman.

                          Marshall- Win

                          @ USF- At Raymond James this one could be tough, but I think the Mountaineers should win this one with Jarrett Brown presenting a bigger passing threat to the Bulls load-the-box defensive strategy against the spread option

                          Louisville- Win

                          @ Cincinnati- I think the Mountaineers will go into Cincy and win, I don't think the Bearcats defense will shut down everyone like last year

                          Pitt- Win, can't lose the Brawl in Motown again

                          @ Rutgers- 14 straight over the Knights, hopefully it extends to 15, but this game could decide the Big East Championship and the environment will be hostile, I'll be attending this one for sure, this one could go either way, but I'll have to favor my Mounties because Rutgers doesn't have credible options under center in my opinion.

                          All in all, the Mountaineers should finish up at anywhere from 9-3 to 12-0, if we go on the road and beat Auburn, the momentum will be there to run the table, but I expect maybe 1 or 2 slip-ups in Conference play and the games against Auburn and Colorado will be tough. I'm certainly hoping for another Big East title, but won't be disappointed with a second or third place league finish, crazy things happen in the Big East.

                              in all fairness, I don't disagree with much of what you wrote, but WVU ALWAYS has that hickup game that they should absolutely win and for reasons unknown end up losing....2007 - Pitt, 2008, Cincy and Colorado.

                                If Auburn avoids any major injuries on the OL or the LB corps...9-3. The starting 22 is good enough to play with anybody.

                                People seem to forget that in Auburn's 7 losses...5 had Auburn with a double digit lead.

                                If Malzahn turns this offense around...and I definitely think he will....AU will be very tough.

                                The Defense will be stellar as always..the whole question is the offense and avoiding injuries to our thin OL and LB corps.

                                If we suffer a major injury at either of those positions....6 wins.
