Re: Win/Loss prediction for your team
My list of hopeful starters is:
Caudle then Burns then Rollison then Fanin
Outside of those four, I'd prefer a forfeiture than a game.Comment

Mark it down. Take a picture, blah blah blah.
Regardless of the "coachspeak" about it being close, etc... Neil is the clear cut favorite to be the starter by the staff.AUBURN TIGERS
MINNESOTA VIKINGS
INDIANA PACERSComment

Re: Win/Loss prediction for your team
Alright, 2 years ago
Where in the world are you getting that?
Oklahoma has been solid against the SEC, and has raped the ACC.
Oklahoma is 18-1 against ACC teams. Their only loss is by 7 points to a top 10 Clemson team 20 years ago.
What is your point?
An above average team lost to a mediocre team and that means said mediocre team will beat a top 5 team?
And to your VaTech question. My point is VaTech has always been Miami's bi****s and that will never change, Good year's, bad years and great years. VaTech trails the series 17-9. So let's not debate a mediocre team beating an above-average team. Let's wait to see Miami and VaTech play. The outcome will likely be more of the sameComment

Re: Win/Loss prediction for your team
Oklahoma is 3-3 vs. the SEC since 1999. We can go on about records all day. For some odd reason, you have this really strange impression that Miami sucks and I for the life of me cannot understand it unless you are a very bitter VaTech fan or a Seminole? Oklahoma has only played Miami 6 times. They are even at 3-3. The last time they played 2 years ago...Miami goes 5-7 so be proud of that win, all of Miami's wins over Oklahoma have been against powerhouse OU teams. Oklahoma is a better team than Miami right now, no doubt, but OU might have a hard time with it being in the first half of the season, @ Miami, with the 'Canes having nothing to lose and everything to gain.

What exactly do the games between Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer in the 80s have to do with what will happen in 2009?
The answer is nothing. Miami is not even close to being on Oklahoma's level.Comment

The fact that you have to reference one of the biggest upsets in history isn't helping your argument, it's hurting it.Comment

Re: Win/Loss prediction for your team
how in this world do you figure. IF...a team like ASU can beat a Michigan team that was caught completely off-guard then I would imagine it is perhaps possible that a pretty good Miami team can at least stay within 10 points of a verg good OU team @ their house in an early season matchup. I swear, people on here act like Miami is the most garbage team in the world. Now if this was Duke, Northwestern, or Mississippi State I would be right there with you, but the fact is they aren't. College Football has parity, and has had it for many years now. Upsets happen on a much more regular basis and undeated National Champions are becoming a dying breed. I do not think my argument is in any way hurt.Comment

Call me crazy, but I think Oklahoma's coaches are SLIGHTLY better than Michigan's old ones. I'm pretty sure Oklahoma won't tip their plays, hold their star RB out because of arrogance, repeatedly put 10 men on the field, call stupid stunts on defense that open up cavernous running lanes, put their DTs in as QB spies, play their corners 10 yards off the line even though the other QB can't throw anything other than little slants and digs, won't put safeties on the field who don't know up from down, etc.
And stop using LandShark Stadium as an argument, too. This isn't Happy Valley or Columbus or Death Valley Oklahoma's going into. The Hurricanes have never had any fabled "homefield advantage" other than the good old days when they were just better than everybody else. Their home games are almost never sold out and the crowd is entirely average in terms of noise. They aren't intimidating at all.Comment
