And Florida State would pound an all star team of 2009 Alabama, 2008 Florida, 2007 LSU, and 2006 Florida by 30.

Video game teams wise, 2001 Miami wouldn't stand a chance against any FSU team.

Alright here's the problem with Boise being #1...why does Texas become #3 for losing to a #1?

I don't think Boise State is better than Texas or Alabama.

The ACTUAL flaw in the system is that we will never find out.

There's just nothing to support that, at all. Alabama played a much tougher schedule and has far superior athletes. Why would anybody think Boise State could beat them?

Anybody saying BSU deserves a split NC is also saying that Alabama deserves to have half of theirs taken away. Really? Why? Because they're both undefeated? That's lame. That's basically saying that what BSU did this year is equal to what Alabama did this year when, fact is, that's not true. BSU did not accomplish what Alabama did this year and because of that they don't deserve half of what Alabama got.

I wish we had a playoff system because I do believe that BSU does deserve the chance to prove me and everybody like me wrong but that isn't the case right now.
I don't think Boise could beat Bama but I also believe they deserve a share of the national title. Oregon and TCU played a much tougher schedule and has far superior athletes. Boise St. beat them both (and were in control for most of those games). They were never even threatened this season in any of their games. Teams have won national titles looking much less impressive in the past.

Does anybody negate USC's or LSU's 2003 National Titles because they were split? Not really. It just says two great teams deserved to be champions just like this year.
"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."

I said no, not this year. Next year will be the Broncos year, barring any major injuries. After they beat Oregon State, it should be smooth sailing to the title game.

The system is flawed, but there is no doubt who the top team this season was. I hate the BCS, I just hope and pray that we see it changed in the very near future.

Not just No but.....Heck No! All the more reason there should be a playoff so schools like boise can get demolished fair and square by the other NFL producing Teams...FL, ALA, Texas,etc...the usual suspects.

Alabama should be the outright champions because you shouldn't change the system midway through the season.

That said, we need a playoff.

I voted either way, here's why:

Boise deserved the CHANCE to play, but the system denies them. I believe bama beats them on a neutral site most of the time...possibly 8 out of 10. But upsets are what make sports great. The bcs makes a true cinderella impossible.

What I really would like to know is if a healthy Colt McCoy would have made a difference.

It was clearly bama's year, when you block field goals that would beat you, come up with game winning drives at the end against your rival, beat last year's nemesis, and then the next most qualified challenger loses their best player. It is your year.
