Wow, this LSU class is already taking side shots. According to Miles, they have named themselves "The Fam."

He didn't go into more detail, but we all know where that's directed.

The defensive haul for us was RIDICULOUS to say the least:
              5* LB Curtis Grant
              5* DE Steve Miller
              4* OLB Ryan Shazier
              4* CB Doran Grant
              4* DT Chase Ferris
              4* DT Michael Bennett
              4* S Ron Tanner
              4* DE Kenny Hayes
              4* MLB Ejuan Price
              4* CB DerJuan Gambrell

Add onto that 5* QB Braxton Miller, 4* C Brian Bobek, 4* TE Nick Vannett, and 4* WR's Evan Spencer and Devin Smith and this is an outstanding class. Rivals continues to amaze me as to how they have so few midwest prospects ranked in the Rivals 100. They don't give the midwest hardly any attention and ignore the opinions of guys that work the midwest for UM, OSU, ND etc. sites. Rivals is a quality source, but their obvious bias towards the Southeast is quite amazing.
Another great recruiting class, especially on the defensive side. I'm really excited to see Braxton Miller play at the college level.

And I agree on Rivals not paying much attention to the midwest. Obviously the Southeast has a lot of talent, but there is also a lot of talent in Ohio and the midwest.

With or without Cy....This Auburn Class is sick talented. Back to back top 5 classes and a National Championship. Safe to say Chizik and Co. are more than capable of going toe to toe with our instate rival. Great day for AU.

Miami should of offered him, I don't see him having much of a future at UofL.

                    D. Smith has as much of a future at Louisville as he has at UCF or Illinois. It's not like Bridgewater is penciled in as a 4 year starter, it's going to be a battle for the top spot.

They even talked Virginia and Louisville today because they were making moves and some noise.

Who should they focus on? Purdue and Michigan State? No thanks.

They talked about Nebraska moving to Big 10 and the effect it may have on recruiting the So Cal area they did well with for years. Michigan (and ND) was somewhat left out of the talk because they are well, pretty irrelevant lately.

The Southeast US and Texas follow crooting wayyyyyyy more closely than the Midwest. ESPN knows there audience. Smart move on their part.

Sorry Buckeyes-Doc. My fault for jumping the gun.

I agree with their statements about Rivals. I live in the midwest and there is some talent around here. No doubt about it.

DaMarcus would have a bright future at UofL. Trust me, I've seen the kid play 4 times this year and he is as good as advertised. Smith is the better QB, while Bridgewater is the better scrambler/wildcard formation/read option QB for the simple fact that he has better wheels.

My guess is that when/if Smith commits(and I believe he will after hearing some news today), UofL would implement a 2 QB system, much like Florida did with Leak and forgive me Gator fans, but I cannot think of who it was that Leak was a tandem QB with.

In any event, Smith will most likely be a Cardinal and will compete for the starting spot.

I want DaMarcus at Louisville in the worst way, he's be committed to Louisville for over a year. I think the 2 QB system will work for a year but there needs to be a clear cut #1 guy by the time Smith and Bridgewater are sophomores (if Smith commits).
