Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
Isaiah Crowell has basically narrowed his list.
"Alabama and Georgia are tied on top," the 2011 recruit, who will announce his college choice on National Signing Day, stated. "Then Clemson third and FSU fourth."
His buddy, Gabe Wright, has a top 5 that includes UGA, Alabama, and FSU as well. Hmm..Twitter

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
Carver-Columbus defensive lineman Gabriel Wright has been through several versions of a top five list in recent months - but his current one has stayed constant for awhile.
And the Crimson Tide has some catching up to do if they want to reclaim the top spot for the Rivals100 member.
"Right now it is Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, Florida State and Tennessee in that order. Nothing has really happened much to change my favorites list up other than visiting Tennessee recently that pushed them in my top five," said Wright. "I haven't really talked to anyone at Alabama since their A-Day game. They really haven't slipped much. It is just that I need to get back down there and get that feeling for them again. I still need to get some family members down there to see everything too.
"I won't be deciding anything anytime soon. It will more than likely be at the Under Armour game in January. I want to take my official visits for sure, and I will definitely be taking my official visits to whoever my favorites are later in the year."AUBURN TIGERS

James Vaughters picks Stanford
Tucker linebacker James Vaughters, the most sought-after recruit in Atlanta, committed to Stanford on Thursday.
He chose the Cardinal over four other finalists: Georgia, Georgia Tech, Alabama and Ohio State. In total he had compiled scholarship offers from more than 35 schools nationwide.
Vaughters, a 4.0 student at Tucker, said he chose Stanford because of its combination of great academics and great football under coach Jim Harbaugh.
“I honestly believe we can do something at Stanford that has never been done and that is win a championship,” said Vaughters, who is considering majoring in architectural engineering.PS: You guys are great.

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
Nothing to do with this years Recruiting class. But being from Maryland, I think it is absolutely sad for the Terps program and the state. Highest rated players always going to Penn State, now players are choosing to go all the way to New Mexico instead of going to Maryland.
Locksley is a recruiting god. He has gotten 4 (4-Star) D.C. area transfers and has around 10 Maryland kids on the squad, and if you look at top Maryland HS players you see New Mexico at the top of most of the lists.Last edited by MWillard2; 06-18-2010, 09:38 AM.Comment

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
Irish pick 3/4 star DE out of Florida(pos rank: 43)
Clay Burton.........
Notable Offers( according to Scout)
Tennessee
Florida
GTech
LSU
Pitt
"Burton possesses substantial size, athleticism, and strength. He moves laterally extremely well for a DE and can run down ball carriers from the backside. While he is a terrific athlete, he can improve his speed and quickness, he needs to become more explosive. He has a lot of experience and uses a variety of moves to his advantage, Burton is equally adept at playing the run and pass. -Geoff Vogt, Florida Recruiting Analyst"
Should be a nice pick for some depth at the end positionTwitch - bluengold34_osComment
