Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
Shazier commits to Ohio State! Always great to add a 4* LB to this class... especially when he has the frame to grow into the LEO spot ala Thad Gibson.
We've pretty much got 4 spots left in this class. 5* CB Doran Grant is gonna be one of them... and we've got 4* ATH Darius Jennings and 5* LB Curtis Grant on campus right now. CGrant is probably going to end up in Gainesville, but its good to at least have a shot at the kid, no matter how slim it is. Not sure what to make of Jennings honestly... been one of the most tight-lipped recruitments in recent memory.Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati RedsComment

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
Man what is up with the Ducks recruiting? So your having the best season in program history, on your way to a possible national title, and you can't sign any big time recruits??? Wow, where are all the 5 stars at? You would think Oregon would be getting top notch talent but we're getting mainly 3 star recruits with some 4 stars mixed in, where's the 5 star players? My Teams:
NCAA FB-Oregon Ducks
NCAA BB-Gonzaga Bulldogs
NBA-Portland Trail Blazers
NFL-Carolina Panthers
MLB-San Francisco Giants
NHL-Los Angeles Kings
Won't change this signature until Oregon wins a national championship (started 3/10/10)

You're as embarrassing here as you are during actual game threads. The Ducks' recruiting is better than it's ever been. They signed a great class last year, they're going to sign a great class this year. Do yourself a favor and stop gazing at stars (and even THAT part of your ridiculous argument was offbase).Comment

Apparently 4* Athlete Miles Shuler has given his verbal to Rutgers. This is one of the big pieces Greg was banking on along with Royster, Huggins, and Matias.Comment

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
The SEC Champions hosted several big time players in Auburn this weekend.
The biggest visitors, in terms of need, were Texas Commit OL Stephen Westerman and the top player out of New Jersey, RB Savon Huggins.
Auburn appears to have made a strong impression on both players. I doubt Westerman decommits from Texas though.
Huggins is a stud. The fact that AU only returns 2 backs in 2011 and is playing for a National Championship both make an impression on Huggins.
Auburn would like to sign 2 backs this year and Savon Huggins is at the top of the board along with Florida RB Tre Mason.AUBURN TIGERS

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
We'll see what happens. Luper has been recruiting Savon heavily over the last couple of months. I don't know what Rutgers' RB depth looks like...but Auburn only returns McCalebb and Dyer in 2011. Instant playing time is a great sales pitch on a tailback.AUBURN TIGERS

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
Odds are our starting HB will be a FB, and our one back up HB who was originally a WR will be moved to WR again.
Huggins will start from day 1 at RU.Comment
