#6 LSU Tigers at #5 Auburn Tigers 2:30pm cst Saturday CBS

    Huge, massive, gigantic game.

Both teams are undefeated..the only 2 undefeated SEC schools left.

LSU has one of the best defenses in the country.

Auburn has one of the best offenses in the country with the nation's most electrifying player in Cameron Newton.

LSU's offense is a mess. Auburn's defense isn't much better. However, Auburn is very good at stopping the run, which is LSU's preferred means of moving the football. Who will be the QB for LSU? Jefferson or Lee? both?

Add to that the "Mad Hatter" Les Miles and his seemingly endless supply of good luck and this could and probably will be another exciting Auburn LSU game.

Re: #6 LSU Tigers at #5 Auburn Tigers 2:30pm cst Saturday CBS

    i'm just hoping for

    A) A well refereed game, which always seem in short supply in this series

    B) The ball with a shot to win the game. That's all you can ask for with Les Miles as coach. The D will be there, Newton will be there, it's an immovable force vs. an unstoppable object. I tried to watch Auburn's center Saturday, but he had a pretty quite day, and I couldn't tell if he was good or the Arky DL was terrible.

    C) Jefferswag to decide to show up, not this Jefferson clown. When JJ is on, he's as dangerous as any QB in the SEC not named "Newton" Just watch the tape from the UNC first half. If he's not on, he reads at a Sun Belt backup. Just watch the UNC second half. If he's not, then we'll just have to stick with him as the option/running QB.

RS10 not only needs to score, but has to be heavily involved. I feel like he's been hidden all this year and is itching to bust loose. Using him in the 1-2-3 punch of Ridley-RS10-Blue/Ware. Toliver is Lee's favorite target, no doubt about that, the problem is finding a guy to complement TT

Defensively i'm not expecting a shutout, Newton's GOING to make some freak play, but I am expecting them not to give up anything up the middle. make him bounce it outside for PP7, Mo, and T-Rex to take care of. The first time Mathieu meets Newton, Newton certainly will not forget it. This is without a doubt the best secondary Newton will play all year, and i'm hoping for a shock after facing off with the swine secondary.

Should be a hell of a game

    and oh yea,

    Geaux Tigers!

Geaux Tigers!! I look for another close hard fought game and with it being at Auburn I'll go with them to pull out the win.

I think it should be a really good game. Hopefully Auburn's defense will tighten up some. The Arkansas game was fun to watch but it was a mess.

Something has to give. Me thinks Les Mile's luck runs out this week.

Our Defensive line is as good as any in the league. Nick Fairley is right there with Nevis as the league's best DT. The Front seven isn't the issue with AU..the secondary is.

It all depends on LSU's QB play. I expect LSU to attempt to run the ball with Ridley early and not put the pressure of moving the ball on "Jeffer-Lee". Auburn needs to continue to shut down the opposing team's running game and force teams to throw. As bad as our secondary has been...I'd still rather deal with LSU passing than running.

Defensively i'm not expecting a shutout, Newton's GOING to make some freak play, but I am expecting them not to give up anything up the middle. make him bounce it outside for PP7, Mo, and T-Rex to take care of. We've faced 8..and even 9...man fronts all year. Look at Arky's gameplan. Many times they stacked the box with 9 guys within 5 yards of the LOS. Auburn still rushed for 300+. As far as Mathieu meeting Cam..ask that LB from Arky that Cam drove backward 3 yards for first AU TD about tackling Cam.

I'm very interested in seeing if Les has the balls to play single coverage on Darvin, T-Zac, and Co. and run blitz like crazy against Cam and the RBs. As good as Petersen is..and he's one of the best....I think Darvin will win his fair share of the matchups. Same with T-Zac and Emory.

I think we'll find a way to win. I'm thinking Auburn 35 LSU 30. I expect the lead to change hands many times in this one.

As good as LSU is on defense, I don't see them holding us under 35.

I also expect a big return on special teams from Onterrio or Demond.

No way LSU has the horses to keep pace offensively. I think LSU gets exposed this game. They are not near as good as their record nor their ranking.

                    Auburn wins 31-14 going away.

Of course I have been wrong before and will be wrong again.

that's easily what i'm most confident about.

                        From the way you're talking,
                        Darvin will get PP7
                        "T-Zac" will flip between Mo/Taylor
                        Emory will either get Taylor/Zone

Besides the 2nd half of the USCe game and the Arky game, I don't have a lot of knowledge of your WR corps, but the only advantage Auburn has is whoever has Taylor 1 on 1. I know you have more WR's than that, but it appears those are the main guys.

What I don't like is that we need PP7 to be man-man the whole game, and odds are there's cramptonite in Jordan-Hare.

                          They could.

I'm convinced LSU's offense couldn't even score 35+ points against a high school team.

Darvin can go toe to toe with any DB in the SEC..including PP7. Darvin will get his catches. He won't "win" every snap against Petersen..but he'll win his share.

The Auburn WR corps is very good and LSU is in for a rude awakening if they think they can shut us down outside playing man to man. We don't throw a lot...mainly because we don't have to...but the AU receivers are fully capable of producing big plays.

I DO expect LSU to do that and I also expect Malzahn to take advantage of this with some big plays through the air. I also expect to see Mario Fannin get a ton of catches coming out of the backfield.
