Re: Player Transfers Thread
Forcier is likely not going to a big time school - he's interested in Auburn, but I doubt that's reciprocated. K-State is there, and then it's the San Diego schools and Montana as likely destinations.Comment

Re: Player Transfers Thread
Shame, only because he'll get drafted next year (and not the supplemental draft) and it won't say Florida but North Alabama
. But really, I hate to see him leave the Gators but hopefully this will be a reality check for him and it'll help him on down the line, which I'm sure he'll be a great CB in the league as long as he ends up with the Bucs or Broncos (hopefully to replace Aqib for Tampa).
He was a great player and it's too bad some off the field issues hurt his standing with Florida, at least I hope this is a standard that Muschamp can introduce to help keep these players down to earth and help out their careers.Comment

Greg Timmons Reportedly Will Transfer From Texas
After battling injuries during his first two years in Austin and falling behind in the wide receiver rotation, redshirt sophomore Greg Timmons has reportedly elected to transfer from Texas, according to reports from Orangebloods and Inside Texas. The 6-3, 200-pounder from Eisenhower High School in Houston was an Army All-American after a successful prep career, but was never able to stay healthy while at Texas and fell behind Malcolm Williams, Darius White, and John Harris at the crowded receiver position.
The loss is not unexpected, as Timmons was a primary attrition candidate following the spring. With the news of his impending transfer, Grambling State is the school receiving the most mention as the likely landing spot. As for Texas, the decision puts the Longhorns one over the 85-man scholarship limit from the fall with several more players likely to leave campus before the start of the season. It also puts Texas one scholarship closer to having enough room for the 2012 class, which currently has 14 scholarships available at this time. In other words, this was a decision that will likely benefit both Timmons and the Longhorns.Comment

Re: Player Transfers Thread
True, Though this could be a good & bad thing for Hawai'i.
Good being that he has played against tough defense being in the big 10. & has the skills to be a threat in the R&S offense.
But for the bad thing is that all the extra baggage he has. If he brings that here, It could very well be a problem for the program.
But yeah, Will see if he really wants to be a Warrior & If the coaches are willing to take the chance on him. If not he could take his habits else whereNFL:Oakland Raiders Seattle Seahawks

Re: Player Transfers Thread
Uh, no they weren't.
The problem is that he couldn't handle a better player at his position taking his job. He went into pout mode, and then when he did get his chances this last season, he didn't exactly deliver. The guy has turned into a real headcase.
Him switching schools isn't a new phenomenon. He did it in high school too.Comment

Storm Johnson a RB out of Miami just transferred to UCF. He will sit out a year and then should get at least two years of being "the man" when the current starters leave, unless they recruit someone better.Comment

Former Cal transfer Martin leaving Florida
So he leaves CAL to get away from distractions from home. Then leaves Florida to be closer to home
This time it’s not a joke. Defensive end/linebacker Chris Martin is transferring from Florida.
Coach Will Muschamp announced Friday the redshirt freshman would be leaving the program.
“Chris and his family have indicated that it might be best for him to be closer to home," Muschamp said. “We wish him nothing but the best of luck.”
Martin transferred to Florida from Cal, after originally committing to, and decommitting from, Notre Dame.
He becomes the fourth player to leave the Gators this year, joining freshman running back Mike Blakely, and freshmen receivers Javares McRoy and Chris Dunkley.
The 6-foot-4 tweener closed spring practice as the backup to Ronald Powell at the heralded Buck position, but took reps inside at middle linebacker as well.
Martin was arrested Jan. 29 for possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and also made news in March after posting a message on his
Facebook status insinuating he had been dismissed from the team. He later said it was just an “early April Fools’" joke.
Former cornerback Janoris Jenkins was dismissed from the team after similar subsequent marijuana violations.Comment
