If the Big 12 were to completely fracture, with Texas going independent, I don't think that Iowa State, Missouri, Kansas, and Kansas State (along with possibly Texas Tech and Baylor?) joining the MWC is that terrible of an idea.

It's unfortunate that Utah & BYU have left and TCU is on the way out the door, but...

Between Boise State, Nevada, Hawai'i, and those former Big 12 teams, there's potentially an argument for making the MWC an AQ conference (especially compared to the Big East).

Once upon a time there was a birth of two twin teams. Texas and Texas A&M. Both showed below average intelligence leading into puberty. While one grew large beautiful orange hair and became known as "Mrs. Longhorn" the other one grew hideous acne and was mistaken as a hick farmer and was called "Mrs. Aggie". Guess which was more popular. Mrs. Longhorn was more successful while Mrs. Aggie turned into the Aggie because her ugliness was unrivaled. This embarrassment led to The Aggie changing her hair color to red and being a hateful and whiny girl. Mrs. Longhorn kept winning til' The Aggie found success. This stopped making Mrs. Aggie to keep cutting her wrist and even Mrs. Longhorn started to lose yet she kept on becoming more and more cocky. Soon Texas A&M learned to cope with her envy by developing delusional tendencies. Texas started to win again but kept eating a lot of Cheetos to cope with the pressure of success. Texas exercised so she kept on winning. But in the past year with the eventual fallout of the Big 12 Book Club and Woman's Health Clinic. Texas developed nervous tendencies and started to stop exercising but stuffing her self with Cheetos. Yet somehow people started watching her with pure wonder making her become more and and fatter everyday. People started calling Mrs. Texas by the name of "Snookie". Even the fact that she loses she still seems to win. This made Texas A&M get angry and she tried to hook up with the Gentlemen's Club"The SEC" but this attempt failed which made the Book Club and Texas hate the Aggie even more.

Tomorrow we talk about the bastardization of Baylor and the Texas Tech saga which was led by a ESPN analyst son's least favorite coach, Mike Leach.

That is incorrect. Texas A&M thinks we have the greatest traditions ever. We are under no illusions whatsoever that we are the greatest team.

Hell yeah. But we don't spend our time every year trying to beat them like y'all do. We stopped caring a while ago when we actually went to a conference that wants us.

While I have no dog in your fight with this other poster, I'd like to know what Arkansas caring about OU has to do with moving to the SEC given that OU were never in the Southwest conference? OU and Arkansas only met 3 times since 1926, all three in bowl games.

No dog in the fight, but I've always been under the impression that A&M is on a level above Arkansas. Not gonna go look for stats to back that up, it's just personal impression.

Not really. They are about on the same level. Both have 1 national title, A&M has an 18 to 13 edge over Arkansas in conference titles, and a 1 game edge in bowls with 13 wins to 12, but Arkansas has slaughtered them head to head with a 40-24 advantage(excluding ties). I'd say they are about even, but you can favor one over the other depending on your criteria, that's fine.

That is football beating an opponent. I'm talking about how they take beating OU to an obsession so they feel adequate. Texas A&M has better overall records against Texas and Oklahoma compared to Arkansas. But when we have played against eeach other 67 times the series goes 40-24-3 in Arkansas favor or (.597). Some of the reasons Texas A&M has beaten Texas and Oklahoma better than Arkansas is 1). They play almost every year so they know the nuances of the teams. 2). We tend to play Oklahoma when they are having great years. You may count these as excuses but I see these as legitimate reasons. Texas A&M should be a consistently better team due to being in Texas and having fertile recruiting grounds.

While I hate Aggie fans I respect most of them over the average OU or Texas Bangwagon fan.

Actually, it's Texas and Texas Tech that we obsess over. We like playing Oklahoma, but it's nothing like the Rivalry we have with TU and Texas Tech.

We get up for the Sips like no other, and when we do beat them, we really really celebrate because it's such a rare thing.

Rumor is tSEC is looking at aTm for the West and Clemson for the East should this come to fruition.

I'd love this. When I edit conferences I always put Clemson, So Car, Georgia and Ga Tech in the same divisions.
