Re: Week 4 Discussion
I don't even know what to think of Oregon's defense tonight. I haven't seen an Oregon d-line control the LoS like this since Ngata was a Duck, but Foles has carved the secondary up pretty well. I'll just blame Aliotti for this nonsense.
EDIT: James -- 261 yards rushing on 18 carries, 14.5 ypc. Damn.Comment

Re: Week 4 Discussion
I still have no idea if the Ducks are really good or if everyone they've won against on their schedule is just slightly worse than them.Last edited by bad_philanthropy; 09-25-2011, 12:42 AM.Comment

Re: Week 4 Discussion
Oregon-Arizona was a little closer than the score indicated. It was what I expected though-lots of leg space for me in the 4th quarter.
Oregon's DL dominated the LOS because Arizona's O-Line is very very inexperienced, and when they grow up, they'll grow up to be mediocre. They're gonna get dominated a lot. Arizona's tackling was brutal. Foles missed 2 or 3 wide open guys, Arizona WR's missed 2-3 balls that hit them in the face, all would've been big plays, not enough to win, but to make the score look a little more accurate. Arizona ran something like 30 plays more than Oregon did, that's partly because Arizona couldn't tackle and Oregon ran wild, partly because Foles did have a pretty solid game. The usual though, Arizona's been bad most of the years I've lived here, I think they may have peaked the last couple years with Stoops. A lot of people said this might be his last season, and I thought he'd get another one because it's obvious this is a re-building year, but they seem a little further behind than I thought they'd be. This team is going to win MAYBE 5 games? A bowl would be stunning to me. I don't know anymore if Stoops survives this. I don't know if Stoops can get them beyond being an 8-4 team that gets blown out in the Holiday Bowl and then 7-5 the next year and blown out in the Alamo Bowl. Those are decent seasons, I just don't see it getting any better than that for him here.Comment
