I love Tebow. But he's not the best college football player of all-time.

How is it being a "*****" to think someone else is the best player in college football history?

That's not exactly a consensus opinion.

Matrix is right. That word needs to go the hell away.

I'm gonna have to say 95 Huskers as well.

01 Canes has all the NFL talent in the world, but that doesn't mean they were as developed (physically/mentally/focus-wise) as they would become.

Its really 1a/1b when it comes to these discussions, but as far as most dominant team I've ever seen? Huskers have to take it for me.

There are a number of good candidates just as good as Tebow. Herschel Walker was great. Vince Young was great. Archie Griffin was pretty good. I loved Tommie Frazier, despite him not winning the Heisman. There's a whole bunch of really great players.

Well...Tebow is a QB and he scored more rushing touchdowns than walker. And he's the first player to throw for 20 td's and rush for 20 td's. I'm not discounting any players you mentioned, but I believe tim is a notch above them. But illnget off this topic because its not whay this thread is about, my apologies for getting off topic everyone.

Barry Sanders, Archie Griffin, Herschel Walker, Roger Staubach, Earl Campbell, etc.

Tebow had Percy Harvin, Hernandez, great o-line, great defense, ect. The guy was surrounded by a ton of talent. Good player yes. Best of all-time no.

I've defended Tebow plenty around here, but it's absolutely RIDICULOUS to call someone a ***** if you don't agree they are the greatest college football player ever. You people do realize football was not invented in 2006 right?

I think Tim Tebow was one of the best college football players of this generation. Greatest of all time? Come on now. Can we kill the hyperbole for one freakin' day?

Greatest college football I've ever seen personally might have been Marshall Faulk. Barry Sanders was great, but he did it for one year. Bo Jackson, Herschel Walker were off the charts. Anthony Carter, Tim Brown dominated games in so many ways.

What about Rod Woodson? Played both ways and returned kicks and was dominant. Or Charles Woodson for that matter. Marcus Allen? Dan Marino?

I mean that's the tip of the iceberg. No Tim Tebow was not as good of a college player as they were. Was his career better than guys like Matt Leinart or Vince Young? Guys who literally lost 2 starts in their entire careers?

Seriously, once you figure out the game of football is more than 3 years old, and you stop using ******* terms like "*****" you'll be a whole lot better off in these forums.

Or recent players. Adrian Peterson, Vince Young, Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush, etc.

What about a guy like Raghib Ismail you could turn a game around so easily? What about Charile Ward, who to this day I maintain was the best college QB I've ever seen. Tommie Frazier? Hugh Green? Reggie White?

I can't believe I forgot about Ward. Although I was young at the time, I was shocked he opted for the NBA because I thought he was a great football player.

I'm a huge Peterson fan obviously but he was injured too much during his college years to be even top 10 of all-time imo.

Marcus Allen was another great one. Did I ever mention Bo Jackson?

There are too many to have a greatest of all time. Football isn't like basketball. It's hard to identify the greatest of all time when there are so many positions.
