    Re: LSU Dismisses Tyrann Mathieu

1st round? Idk some teams were already concerned over size, while others probably looked at some other current small corners in the NFL and may not have cared but now some character flags.

I could see a team in the end of the 1st round taking a chance just based on talent alone, wouldn't be surprised at 2nd-3rd round tho

First rule Honey Badger is to not get caught talking to Mary Jane!! She's good to you, but people hate when you mess with her lol. I think he will end up playing for a HBCU school in the SWAC. My guesses are Southern, Grambling State or Jackson State. Either way, he will still make it to the pros and be a good professional athlete. He has my support.

Get off your damn high horses.
While I agree with you on this. How many mistakes has he made while at LSU getting a free college education? He gets to leave school with out any debt, but he can't stop making the same mistakes. The first time he did something dumb I'm right there with you. He is a kid and kids make mistakes. He keeps making the same mistakes over and over.

Like I said I tend to agree that kids make mistakes, but at some point we are all accountable for our actions.

Exactly. 5'9" CB's who run the 40 somewhere between the mid 4.5s and the low 4.6's aren't exactly in high demand at the next level.

It just sucks that he couldn't be smarter with his choices, given all the difficulties in his life family wise he had a chance to really make name of himself and provide for his family. Do hope that maybe he finally uses this as a wake up call to get his life in order for the NFL Draft

Similar size and speed as to Brandon Flowers who was drafted in top of the 2nd I believe

Flowers ran in the low 4.4's and could cover.

Well didn't know that these combine numbers I looked at said 4.55, but idk Mathieu's exact 40 either as it's anywhere from 4.4-4.6

Mathieu is not a 4.4 guy. Unless it's hand timed on a fast track.

                        I heard from a ton of people he's a 4.55 type guy.

Yeah hard to really speculate on the 40 between recruiting and the draft, guys don't really seem to run 40s that are reported at least in between then.

what also doesn't help his stock, is the last time we saw him, Alabama took advantage of him a little bit in man coverage, and they weren't lining up NFL caliber wideouts out there.
