I didn't see it in real time either, thought he had the collar. Clearly FM in the replay though. Good call by the ref.

His high school has produced Matt Leinart, Colt Brennan, Matt Barkley and him in recent years.

Ok Golson, you need to reply with a long, time consuming drive for a TD. Keep USC's offense off the field or this will be a shoot out, and I don't think we can win a shoot out.

If I was ND I would keep spreading field, USC has no answer.

3rd and long continues to be the defense's biggest problem.

I agree, but we're not struggling on the ground either. We have no answer for USC's top 2 WR's either.

Defense needs to step up this drive. We cant win this game if its a shootout.

You can run the ball out of a spread formation a lot more effectively vs. USC than you can when you line up in 21 personel and try to pound it.
