Damn. Stanford's punter just got crushed. UCLA player had a free shot on him. Talk about a dream hit.

EDIT: Also, why the hell is Stanford's defense suddenly ten times more athletic looking than it did for the past three years?

Reynolds, Richards, and Carter in their secondary. Much faster and much more athletic than anybody they had back there lately. Delano Howell and Michael Thomas were good safeties, but were much more limited athletically than the guys they have now.

Why isn't winning your conference a requirement for the title game anyway? Seems like a no-brainer, especially after last year.

Agreed. I'm also worried for the new play off system. I want to see the top 4 Conference champions in the play offs, not the top 4 BCS teams. If expanded to 6 or 8 teams, then non CC teams can get in. The new system is 4 teams right? Lol

I really hope we come out and look good and ready to go from the get go. 1st time these players have been #1 and it comes in the final week against their arch rival.
