Re: 2016 Recruiting Thread
Over all I like this Florida class ..... Could be top 10 by day's end
We didn't quite get the star power but we filled big needs epically on offense like Qb, Ol, Wr with 4* guys

Re: 2016 Recruiting Thread
Miles cleaned it up today. Jeez.
It's a small class, but I like what Richt was going for. They got everyone they really wanted outside of Byrd. it stings to lose him, but looking at everything else coming in, I'm excited for Miami football again. Only 18 commits, 4 of which are 4*'s, a couple others like Pickney that I think are underrated because he might end up being the best LB out of the 3 monsters there already, and then a couple of projects that look like if they get some technique they can be great due to their athleticism and size already. Richt said he didn't want to take anyone just for numbers and he stuck to that. They didn't chase too many guys and went for quality. For only being on the job 9 or 10 weeks now this transition class is about as good as you could like for the size of it.
My favorite recruit in the class might be unrated Jeff James Jr., nephew of Edgerrin James. If he doesn't kill anyone off of the field, then I think he'll be able to knock some heads around on the field and carry on the name.
It's nice to have a class, even as small as this, that is filled with players that are Miami quality and would be takes in a good year 10 years ago. Golden liked to go for quantity and not quality and had too many coal shovelers on the roster and not enough Miami caliber players.
Very very happy with this class.
A stat I liked and is a nice change from the previous staff is Miami has 10 of Florida's top 50, FSU got 8, UF only had 4. FSU and UF only combined for taking 5 kids from the Tri County area in South Florida. It'll be nice if Richt can get his own State of Miami going.Last edited by canes21; 02-03-2016, 03:30 PM.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”
