Ole Miss just pulled away against Boise tonight but I think there's a lot to like about the Broncos for the future. Harsin seems to be the right hire. As for Ole Miss....They're going to get DESTROYED one of these games if they don't fix some of their problems. Too bad one of those problems is their starting QB

Yep, that's why I made him bronze tier in my All-Pro Football 2K8 roster. Wallace puts up huge yardage totals every year, and he has all of the physical tools you need to play quarterback, but he makes terrible decisions and struggles to read defenses.

I can't fault his defense's effort in this game when Vandy's offense turned it over 7 times and gave Temple so many short fields. But I don't get why Mason pulled Patton Robinette so early in the game after naming him the starting quarterback. Robinette beat Georgia and Tennessee last year, but he can't get more than 1 quarter against Temple before getting the hook?

The offensive gameplan from the new coordinator was also very vanilla. Most plays were either a straight drop back or a straight hand off. Vanderbilt doesn't have the talent on offense to move the ball consistently while playing defenses straight up and trying to throw the ball deep downfield. James Franklin's offenses put up a lot of points with not a lot of talent by using tons of unique formations and lots of motion/deception. When Franklin did throw the ball, it was mostly short screen passes, which I only saw one of tonight.

Ole Miss is going to clobber this Vandy team next week.

First full night of college football in the books. Didn't expect to see SC and Vandy get rolled the way they did. Rutgers beating WSU wasn't much of a surprise since WSU is like Rutgers West.

Really looking forward to the full Saturday slate of games.

If the game didn't start so late I would've watched it; but instead I almost fell out of my seat when I saw the score this morning. First time since 1938 that Temple beat a SEC team.
