Well, not only will Louisville be without DeVante Parker for the season opener vs Miami, but it appears now that Michael Dyer will not be playing as well, as his quad contusion refuses to heal.

Will Gardner named starter for UofL in Monday's game vs Miami. Not a surprise, but little birdies telling me that you can expect to quite a bit of Reggie Bonnafon Monday as well at QB.

Also, Parker out 6-8 weeks with broken foot. Big blow definitely, but not catastrophic as the Cards are deep at the receiver position.

Been hearing Gardner and Bonnafon are 1A and 1B in camp, if Bonnafon plays on Monday that will be awesome.

I will be highly surprised if Bonnafon doesn't play Monday night. He looked really good in what I saw of him in practice.

Yeah, we are deep, but I was wanting to see Dyer run this year. He was pushing Brown to the be the number one RB, but as you stated, we have Scott, Radcliff, and even Lamb to back up Brown this weekend.

Nonetheless, Abilene Christian WILL beat Georgia State. Because 6 years ago, they beat West Texas A&M 93-68. In football.

man week 1 of college football always kind of sucks in terms of scheduling. everyone has their "tuneup" game against some low-level FCS team it seems.

at least we have LSU/Wisconsin, that should be a helluva old school grinder football game.

There's actually a decent amount of match-ups week 1. At least more than usual, I believe.

WVU/Bama (which we could not include, but eh)
Ok St/FSU
Rice/Notre Dame

Wisconsin/LSU

All of those except for WVU/Bama should be pretty good.

Why in the hell is A&M v. SC at 6 est? They are wanting to have a good match up to kick off the SEC network, but most people aren't going to take off work early to watch a game with an Manziel-less A&M team. Not sure why you don't start this at 7e at the very earliest.

Probably to get two games in on the east coast. If I remember right, Vanderbilt plays powerhouse Temple at 8p, so I guess they wouldn't want to run into that. For me, I don't care because I'm off by 3:30, but I can see the issue.

Well Gator fans, we'll get our first look at True Freshman QB, Treon Harris apparently. I'm wondering if he'll have his own package on a regular basis, as Roper likes to do. I was hoping Grier would win the back up job, but I digress, Harris looks solid.
