Re: 2014-2015 Coaching Carousel Thread
Home run for SMU. Chad went to A&M and knows Dallas and Austin like the back of his hand. He was the coach at Stephenville (state title in 2003 I believe) and won a couple of state titles with Garrett Gilbert at Lake Travis High School. Let's hope SMU will give him the money to put the staff together he needs. Surprised he took it after how bad the June Jones experiment fell apart."If you have a linebacker on him, you might as well start singing their fight song." -- WSU coach Bill Doba on Reggie Bush
My Teams:
NCAA Football: USC Trojans
NCAA Basketball: UNC Tarheels
NFL: Houston Texans
Premier League: Arsenal
NHL: Carolina HurricanesComment

Yeah, Wisconsin trashed Nebraska 3 straight games especially 70 on them 2 years ago. I think this is definitely jinx upon Nebraska when comes to Wisconsin.Comment

Basically, I really wanted him to get the job when he interviewed with Texas Tech before they hired Kliff.Boston Red Sox

I find it hard to believe that Muschamp would come back to Auburn during any time that Jacobs is still the AD. JMOComment

Buffalo's about to never lose again. They just hired Wisconsin-Whitewater's head coach, who went 106-6 there.Boston Red Sox

Re: 2014-2015 Coaching Carousel Thread
I'm hopeful on Muschamp, but I don't see it either.
I feel like he will have to decide to take time off, pick up a small time coaching gig, or land a job as a DC at a great school. It could go any way. Jay Jacobs didn't have a problem forgetting Chiz hopped a train to Texas either.
I know we have money, but Ellis is parting with a lot of cash after this firing so whoever we get has to be worth the money.Comment

I would not like UF to get McElwain, even though it may take 2-3 years, he probably will be able to build something if he can hang on long enough.
Ole Miss has to match the 4.X number being thrown around, so what then?
Foley is going to be run out of town after his last hire and now he can't get any of the top choices to even be interested.Comment

Re: 2014-2015 Coaching Carousel Thread
Michigan is scared to fire Hoke and reach out to Miles for fear of a "public black eye".
Amid reports that today could be Brady Hoke’s final day as head coach at Michigan, I reached out this morning to a number of connections in the coaching profession – both NFL and college. The feedback I heard isn’t going to excite many at Michigan; in fact, one source was very blunt, saying “Michigan is struggling to find their next head coach.”It is our understanding from sources at Michigan that there is significant disagreement within the building in Ann Arbor regarding the potential candidacy of Les Miles. Hackett very much considers Les a friend and a candidate he would like to pursue. Others in the department do not believe this is in the best interests of Michigan and fear that Les would publicly acknowledge their interest but ultimately choose to remain at LSU, giving the Michigan search a very public black eye.And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU
