You very well may be correct, but Florida has faced good defenses in Ole Miss and Mizzou already this year while the best LSU has faced has been Miss State. LSU hasn't seen a defense like UF's yet. Treon and Grier were still neck and neck according to coach Mac before Treon got suspended over weed. I think we'll be fine but I wouldn't be surprised if we lost as LSU is a good team and its in Baton Rouge but I wouldn't be surprised if UF pulls the upset yet again.

I don't understand this confidence regardless of who the QB is. Hasn't QB been an issue there for a while?

Regardless of what the coach says, I'm assuming the other QB hasn't had a lot of significant time recently. Now that time will come at night at LSU.

It was an issue with Muschamp. Not McElwain

I'm just not even sure what you're talking about Tebow.

Did Mac maintain all off season it was a close competition? Of coarse he did, that's what coaches do. He protected Grier and kept the pressure off of him. Once Grier proved he could handle the heat, it was full steam ahead with Grier while doing the best he could not to lose his backup, becausee he may need him one day.

I'm sorry man, but there was no close competition in my eyes and I don't believe there ever was in Mac's either. What I do think we had was a great job of playing mind games with young men, aka coaching college football.

We will see how Saturday goes, because both teams still have things to prove, but one fact was clear, and it's that Grier was the best QB for this team. We'll see how they play without him, but I expect our offense to look a lot different. It may still work and be enough in the end, guess we will see.

I agree Grier was the best Qb for this team. My point is, that who knows how Treon would've performed if he was in Grier's role and got to start those 4-5 games.. Doubt he would've been as good thru the air, but I still feel Treon is a competent QB and better than Brandon Harris. But as you said, we'll this Saturday.

Jimbo did the same thing with Winston and Coker, and we have seen how close their play really was on the field.

LSU gave up 24 points to Syracuse who was starting a walk-on 5th string QB. Without Fournette that would've been a loss. Lol, nothing tops that.

It would've been a loss with Al Golden as our coach.

Is the Al Golden bit supposed to be a jab lol? Al Golden is the type of coach that would lose with his guys against yours, and then would take your guys and lose against his.

Oh, and BTW, I think the Madhatters beat the John Elway Dentures, but I just found it funny Watson was poking fun at UF's defense when LSU's has been underwhelming to this point.

                        A) 17 points, you gotta look at box scores and weed out garbage time points when talking about this stuff. Half the LSU defense on that final dive was composed of second strings.

                        B) Yeah but we do have Fournette...so...

I edited my initial post right when you must have been typing this one up, but 17 points is still bad in my opinion when the other team is playing a walk-on at QB. Especially this Syracuse team.

I've not really been impressed with either team to this point. McElwain has UF looking pretty good, but they've had an easy schedule to this point. LSU has looked meh everywhere except Fournette, but they haven't really had to do much besides turn around and hand him the ball, so it is hard to really get a read on how good of a team they really are.

And the same Gator defense that held the high powered Ole miss offense to ten points (they got the touchdown in mop up time) and turnovers kept ECU in it. You guys have gave up at least 19 in every game. Florida has the better defense and as far as your offense is concerned, you're 1 dimensional with fournette being the only weapon.

Edit - Tennessee game was a horrible game tackling, if you watch it we tackled poorly and defense said it was a wake up game. Past two games the starters haven't gave up a TD.
