ya'll lost quite a few close ones last year, I'm thinking you guys can turn some of those around and maybe get to .500 this season in conference

LOL I know the hate is still strong but hard to put that loss on the RR Defense. The damn offense didn't decide to wake up till the 4th quarter. Plus there's not many QB's in the country I'd take over Taysom Hill to get me into FG range with <2 mins left.

Hope so, need to win 4 games at home inside conference for a bowl game since I don't see them winning any games on the road this year.

Let the record state that at 2:17 a.m. local time, Wyoming and Northern Illinois went into double OT because of a college kicker.

Wyoming's QB wins the game in the third OT on a play where he had to scramble and reverse field to find his way through the mess. Three missed tackles by NIU. Texas/Notre Dame will not be the best game played on Sunday.

Good way to start our season. Lot of respect to Fresno State for declining the delay of game penalty when we fielded our punt team with 10 men to honor Sam Foltz. I'll be rooting for them the rest of the way.

                      Sunday Thoughts (pulled from twitter):

Nobody outside of Tre White or Fournette showed up. Everybody else just didn't perform and played like ***. It was one of the worst team performances LSU has turned in this decade.

Right now, LSU is at a crossroads. This loss is a shock to their (and our) system, and it can either wake them up or make them nonresponsive. Time to see what this team is made of. Ohio State won the national title after a listless performance against Virginia Tech and won the title. Alabama also lost to Ole Miss and won the title. Season isn't over.

Got home around 2AM from BYU-Arizona. Mostly awful football for 3 quarters on offensive side of things. Exciting 4th quarter though. Different DC in Arizona, same 3-3-5 that doesn't work. If I were a young team with young linemen, I absolutely do not schedule BYU. It was clear that in the trenches BYU had a big advantage over Arizona. Partly BYU just has huge offensive linemen, but a bunch of 22-23 year olds against 19-20's. The death of Hemmila last month certainly hurt Arizona's O-Line too. Nice tribute to him before the game.

Now I've got recordings to watch from all the games I missed yesterday which will kill all this bizarre non-football time until Notre Dame-Texas starts

I feel like if your O-line doesn't show up then there's no shot. Fournette will keep you in games because he's THAT much of a great talent but even the great RBs need something resembling an o-line in front of him. If this is the kind of football that LSU puts out all year long than the Les Miles Era is going to end.

Anywho, looking forward to watching my Irish tonight. I'm not the biggest fan of the alternating QB system as it hardly ever works and then there's the disciplinary problems off the field. I think in a lot of ways this is going to be Brian Kelly's toughest coaching job at least coming out of the gate. Notre Dame has the talent to be a Top Ten team but some of the outside forces are making it tougher than it needs to be.

At some point we just need to realize that LSU may not be as good as their talent says they should be. I know everyone was high on them last year, but in hindsight they didn't really have a single impressive win.

Coming into this year it's easy to say they have everyone coming back, one year older, etc, but after the egg they laid yesterday I'm starting to lean towards the they aren't as good as we think they should be.

Still holding onto that they are but just get consistent ****ty effort from whoever the QB is. The RB is good, they somehow always have WRs that make it to the league, and the defense is always good. The problem is between Les and Cam meaning it's ultimately on Les.
