Well they took Swoopes out for Buechele and he promptly scored again, so they may be getting their answer.

I can't take this post seriously. There is no place in the game for this crap and the kid should be punished. They are 18-21 year olds, not freaking infants.

At no point have I EVER said he shouldn't be punished, held accountable, or even the behavior condoned. Heck, I agree with the statement that there is no place in the game for this crap...

What I am tired of is the social media brigade that right away calls the guy a "POS" or other worse things because he made a mistake. NONE of us know this guy personally, none of know what is is going on in his life, etc, and so I don't think anyone of us should be throwing stones and calling the guy a POS or worse. That is all I am saying - nothing more, nothing less. He should be suspended, maybe even removed from the team, but by no means should we pass judgment on who is as a person. I don't understand why that is a foreign concept...

I get it but at the same time he's still immature. Look at Randy Moss and the troubles he went thru in college...fortunately, somebody was able to get thru to him and the rest is history.

I remember Chris Paul hitting Julius Hodge in the nuts while he was in college. These kids do make poor decisions but it shouldn't define him and he should be given an opportunity to redeem himself and prove he's matured...I'm with SF to that extent.

Got to give a lot of credit to Sterlin Gilbert for the new offense installed in Texas. That's some crazy uptempo football there. I like the fact that he has used Swoopes very well in packages as well. I don't know if this is all Texas suddenly being improved or Notre Dame not being fully prepared to take on a vastly improved Texas offense. It's probably a little bit of both. Brian Kelly and Co. better find a way to slow down that Texas freight train or it could be a bad 2nd half.

I do like the fact that we've seen more of Kizer than Zaire on the field for ND as I think he's the better fit for the offense IMO.

His actions were actions of a pos. I don't care what social media calls him, but judging him as a crappy person doesn't seem overboard considering his actions. Can he bounce back and change things about his actions going forward? Of course, it's called growing as a person.

I am not sure why you or anyone thinks I am condoning the action...I am simply stating that this should not define him as a person, we shouldn't make judgments about these kids as a people based on their stupid actions, and I'm not going to say he should be be banned from playing football for the rest of his life.

So how long before this QB for Texas is penciled in as the #1 overall pick in 2018 mock drafts? I give it until Wednesday.

All kidding aside. The kid looks legit. Defense for my Irish? Not so much.

I wonder if at some point the fact that #1 on Texas is running by the cornerbacks every play will prompt some kind of adjustment.

And I guess the dual quarterback thing is gonna continue...

I didn't say he should be banned for life either, but I'm certainly going to judge his actions. He's a young man fully capable of knowing right from wrong, again not an infant. You want to act like a pos and take a cheap shot that is one of the worst I have seen in a long time, then yeah I'm going to judge you on your actions, just like I expect to be judged on mine.
