Now also seems like a good time for this refresher.

Not a chance, lol. It was too easy to spot. You have to try harder to get me to bite when I've been the one throwing out bait better than anyone else on OS for a decade plus at this point.

A few points reading through this thread...

          1. Last year's LSU team was special but I can't put them over the 2001 Miami squad.

          2. Someone said the SEC was bad this year...no they weren't. They went 5-2 in bowls and beat several ranked teams. I'm pretty sure they beat more ranked teams than any other league. Conference pride stuff gets annoying but that doesn't change the fact that the SEC is the premier league in college football.

          3. OU will be going for it's 7th straight conference title next year but I really think Texas will be good. Elhinger was a great kid and brought leadership traits to the table but the dude just wasn't the dynamic type of guy you need at the QB position. I was impressed with the backup Texas QB Texas has, they also have a stud RB, and the DE end of theirs (Collins?) is going to be a beast. I fully expect Texas to be a top 10 team next year.

1995 Nebraska is the GOAT college football team, prove me wrong.

(No really though, closest game they played all year was a 14 point win over Washington State and they laid down one of the all-time great championship game beatdowns. Finally, Tom Osborne >>>>>>> Larry Coker.)

And how soon do we forget teams like 2004 USC, 2005 Texas, and, uh, 2018 Clemson.

I think all reasonable, unbias people would say 95 Nebraska vs. 01 Miami would be the all-time championship game.

I laughed out loud at the bold. Larry Coker wasn't that great of a coach, I don't personally know a single Miami fan that would say he was or would even say he is close to Osborne lol.
