It reminds me of a Super Bowl nearly a decade ago that I’m still not over.

This has been a good day of college football.

Boise should have had a fumble return TD, refs blew it dead calling him down, NO reason to blow that dead, Boise got the recovery before the whistle, but they blow it dead for no reason after that

According to Bryan Harsin there's a total of 5 options from that play. Just looking at the play though it feels like you would want to eliminate options with minimal time for decision making.

Really proud of this team for not quitting but a new coaching staff let them down in a lot of ways. The moment wasn't too big for anyone and it's a good experience loss as bad as I hate morale victories. I do think ESPN oversold Auburn to make this game feel more significant than it is though. Auburn was projected to finish near the bottom of the SEC this year.

I think there's a good team in there somewhere.. hopefully this turns into one of those "good losses" at the end of the day. Auburn definitely has one of the best backfields in the country and Shivers wasn't even available tonight.

This team is ahead of schedule but also not a powerhouse like ESPN tried selling for TV. I could just feel their need to have Penn State win oozing through the speaker lol... they even hung around for the alma mater to drive it home. I'm also pretty sure they stuffed some microphones down some people's throats. lol

Okie State ended up blocking the FG that never should have been needed. Ref who blew the whistle on the fumble return for no reason likely changed the outcome of that one. Can't know what Okie State would have done on O down a score, but we should have found out.

I don't do Twitter, so I'm not sure how to embed from there, but Mississippi State got hosed against Memphis today. Looked like a downed punt that Memphis returned for a TD. And Memphis also had two #4s on the field at the same time on the play.

I remember seeing that, but I figured it fell under the rule of "the kicking team can touch it, and the receiving team can return it anyway without penalty", and the dude took advantage and ran it back, but the official was signalling for play stoppage, and sheepishly stopped when he realized "oops"

I've had games muted so I may be wrong

edit: oh, having two players with the same jersey I missed, if that's the case it definitely should've been called back. Same thing happened to michigan, two #1's on the field while the team was putting backups in

Also, Michigan has been decent this year. Good to see. Hopefully it carries over to the conference schedule. Not getting my hopes up, but it's been a fun start

I don't know if the whistle was ever blown, but the back judge indicated the play was over before Memphis picked the ball up.

Yesterday was not a good day for officials.

I think they're way better than the last couple of years. I also think A&M is not a top 25 team.

It’s just that they’ve been so incompetent for so long it’s weird to see them beating good teams.

A&M is on the downward slide with Jimbo. He'll recruit enough stars to stay ranked, plus the SEC bump, but the product on the field will continue to suffer.

Watch for coaches to start leaving soon.
