Really? The score is not the tell all. Formations both offensively and defensively. Saban isn’t coaching so if people will let it breathe, this could be an interesting discussion. If you are just going by score then no. That’s like watching a basketball game and staring at the ball all the time.Comment

Re: What did we learn? (Bama)
I don't think they have really let loose everything they have yet, which sounds arrogant but is likely true. They won't get into their tactical schemes until they face Wisconsin, I feel. I don't expect South Florida to give up too much fight, but they will likely score a couple of times in the second half.
Nick is absolutely loving this new approach that he has. He did Game Day then flew back and was home around 2pm to get to the stadium with his family. I am happy that he is as happy as he is because he is actually a terrific person that has done the right things for the right reasons. Saying that, I'm grateful that he is no longer a coach, that way people can learn from him with a more open, unbiased mind than when he was their opposing team's coach.
I haven't gotten to meet DeBoer, and it isn't something I actively desire to do, as he is human like me and deserves privacy. I hope he stays awhile. He seems like a humble person and the community already loves him. Gone are the days of new head coaches getting bricks thrown through the windows into their offices... for context, Bama fans did that to Bill Curry in 1988. That's why I love Alabama football, but I loathe the overwhelming majority of Alabama fans.Last edited by EUBlink; 09-01-2024, 10:27 PM.Comment

It's not the tell all but I don't think you're going to find enough people who sat through enough of a Bama-WKU blowout to have an actual discussion.Comment

Re: What did we learn? (Bama)
Bama didn't really play that well. They are beatable when it comes to SEC play. I don't expect it to happen, but if they lost four or five games, that wouldn't surprise me.
What we did learn tho is if Bama was a G5 team, they would probably be in the playoffsT-BONE.

Bama, what did we learn? The King is dead, and by extension, the dynasty. Time to wander in the desert again for the next ten years. Who rules the next ten? Georgia? Ohio State? Texas? Nobody?T-BONE.
