Another throw by Beck into double coverage. By my count that is at least the 5th time today.

Georgia also seems to have lost one of their best pass rushers.

That's one of the worst PI calls I've seen this season. Texas is pummeling the field with trash over it. They're officially in the SEC now.

I guess pelting the field worked. The refs realized how bad a call that was and changed their mind. That's a first.

Ok. That PI call was terrible.

This overturn is unprecedented.

edit - Even worse. They just encouraged fans at every stadium to throw crap on the field.

Central Florida's going to get the lucky, the dope who ran the INT back dropped it at the 1 (I will NEVER understand this) and it landed in the endzone but no one recovered it so they get the ball at the 1

Florida/Kentucky game probably had one of the worst touchdown calls I’ve ever seen in my life. Florida RB was stopped at the one and they called a TD on the field. Then “not enough video evidence” to overturn the call. Maybe we should’ve thrown crap on the field. It worked for Texas.

Didn’t help that earlier in the game, they blew a play dead right as Demi made a second push and got into the end zone.

Naturally, we’re down 14, and our offense is so inept. 5 OCs in 5 years, but no improvement in the offense.

I’m done with Stoops.

Strange to think given their next two games we could be looking at a 5-3 or even potentially 5-4 Bama if they don't figure some things out.

They're going to beat Missouri by 42.

Good: Hey, DJ Lagway only completed 7 passes.

Bad: He threw for 259 yards.

Our defense absolutely crapped the bed. The offense is what it is.

Arkansas did us a favor by plucking away a coach who seemingly overstayed his welcome. Maybe Iowa (if Ferentz retires) or Florida State (no way Norvell survives, right?) will do us a big favor.

I think Mizzou probably loses, especially if they can't figure out their own offensive issues, but if Bama's offense continues to play like it has recently, they very well could lose.

The SEC put out a statement regarding the officiating of the Georgia-Texas game. Extremely weak imo

With 3:12 to play in the third quarter of the Georgia at Texas game, Texas intercepted a pass at the Georgia 46-yard line and returned it to the Georgia 9 yard line. Texas was flagged for committing defensive pass interference on the play which resulted in Georgia maintaining the ball with a first down.

The game officials gathered to discuss the play, which is permitted to ensure the proper penalty is enforced, at which time the calling official reported that he erred, and a foul should not have been called for defensive pass interference. Consequently, Texas was awarded the ball at the Georgia 9 yard line.

While the original evaluation and assessment of the penalty was not properly executed, it is unacceptable to have debris thrown on the field at any time.

The disruption of the game due to debris being thrown onto the field will be reviewed by the Conference office related to SEC sportsmanship policies and procedures.

So, at what point did the refs decide to get together and change the call? It wasn't before they announced it to the stadium It must have been sometime within the 8 minutes delay caused by the fans throwing stuff on the field and the big jumbotron showing the replay.

These sports leagues have really got to stop protecting referees. Players, coaches, team staff, etc are all subject to scrutiny, fines, penalties, etc, but for some reason it's never okay to call out the people whose job is to officiate during the game.

It was a horrendous call that they got right in the end, but context matters. "getting it right" after a fan disturbance is worse than getting the blatantly bad call wrong in the first place. They set a dangerous precedent by rewarding people for acting crazy and they broke the rules to do so (does anyone seriously believe that they weren't watching the replay up top during the intervening 8 minutes to realize that they goofed and instead it was someone re-remembering what they saw during the action of the play?)

I really don’t want to jinx it, but winless Kennesaw State is up on undefeated Liberty in some lovely midweek CUSA action.

Edit: I didn’t jinx it! Heck of a way to get their first FBS victory.

Edit2: Now it’s under review to see if they need to put a second back on the clock.

Edit3: One second back on the clock. Liberty Biberty is gonna get another shot at this.

Edit4: Liberty hook and lateral is absolutely botched and Kennesaw officially get their first FBS victory!
