Good to know. All I can say is we don't have any sneaky motives. Do we like to see traffic rise? Yes. Would we do it if it meant selling out the site's credibility? No, because then there was no point in doing this stuff in the first place.

Re: Summer Storms: The NCAA Release Story
I've got no problems with opinion pieces as long as I see a balance. To this point the OS NCAA 09 coverage has been pretty positive, while the forum is telling a completely different story.Good job! Good effort!Comment

Re: Summer Storms: The NCAA Release Story
I gotta agree whole heartedly here. If i was a new visitor coming to OS in a google search or something and i never entered the forum and only read the front page information available on OS i would think NCAA was "the show" of football games.Go Yankees
Go Rangers
Go Giants

Re: Summer Storms: The NCAA Release Story
OK, but like I said, I can't force people to write negative pieces. However, in the future we'll definitely be more aware and try not to just push out piece after piece (which in this case seemed to be more positive than negative) just for the sake of content.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). Re: Summer Storms: The NCAA Release Story
I think it is more important to have respectable forum members who know their games especially if it is not an area of expertise for you or your staff of writers. Each forum pretty much has a go to guy who many of us trust and tell it like they see it. If you need names, please let us know!Comment

Hey think about this way guys !!
I really think EA has a hard job to do by trying to make the perfect game everybody wants !! and also a game that appeals to both players who like realistic sim play and arcade play.
This is what I think EA did a good job of doing this year because when you play someone who plays a game of football the way it's suppose to played it really makes all the difference in the world as far as getting it to play like a nice realistic game of NCAA football.
However with all you do can do with quick hikes and hurry-up offenses, you can easily turn this game into an arcade fest also.
So it's just a matter of how you and your opponent play the game really.Comment

I think as we add more to the site we'll have opportunities for guest writers and that type of thing though, which I think would be great.
This didn't happen because we lacked an "expert" or anything though, just an oversight in the editorial department.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). Re: Summer Storms: The NCAA Release Story
We already did that a while ago, and asked people to step forward if they wanted to write for the site.

I must be in an extreme minority because I absolutely love this game and only small online issues are taking away from my experience.WUSTLComment

Thanks for hanging in there through this whole thread, Chase. It's not easy to deal with hundreds of people taking shots at you and the staff.
