Ok so I was messing around with the sliders..and just playing with some random teams. Well when I set my HB ability to all 100 and all that he was of course insane. I was playing with Ball State against WMU and at random..their HB was insane too...breaking like 5 tackles and and getting these 80 72 yd etc, etc td runs.

I would get him twice in the backfield he would break em, then like a linebacker and two corners would miss em..Cause I thought, ok maybe lucky for him. Then I move on to play like Toledo I think it was..and the same thing..so idk if it's just random or what..but oh well.

But the most I have ever had the opposing team rush on me was like maybe around 110..these guys both destroyed the defense for like 190+....and plz don't be like.."ahh well you just suck playing defense.." or blah blah blah..

I'm doing the same thing as you are with RBA sliders (80 RBA for CPU). However, I have been switching back when I get the ball back on offense and move it back to 45. Yeah, it's a bit of an annoyance having to switch it back, but if that's what I have to work with to get better games vs. the CPU, then that's what I will do.

Release Notes: This roster file is based on Pasta Padre's release.

Made 238 corrections
Identified and Re-Named the two duplicate players.

This file includes the names for every player on the default roster. There are no created players, updated ratings, etc. Those will come with later versions. This roster update is perfect for playing on Xbox Live. Also, remember to re-name the file when you load it in NCAA 09 for the first time to avoid any future dashboard updates rendering this file corrupt and unusable.

Just got home and checked. Still nothing from Sony. I guess Sony just loves being last at every thing this generation. This patch better not take an extra week or 2 like COD4.

The thing that really makes me mad about how MS and Sony handle patches is that if the game was Gears Of War or Metal Gear Solid they would have had the patch approved and released weeks ago. There slowness proves they care little about there fanbase.

Well, at least you 360 owners have it, who know when Sony will get around to releasing it ("Home" might get released first). I wish game devs could just release the patches on there websites for us to download. Just think, if they were aloud to do that, we might have both patches already.

Looks like a no-go on PS3 tonight guys. The way I understand things, I am the one that actually pushes the patch to the retail servers. Unfortunately I have to wait for Sony to approve the patch first. I just drove back into work (30 minute drive!) to check again and still nothing. I'm getting ready to head back home, so even if they approved the thing 5 minutes from now, it won't be up until I get back in tomorrow morning, so don't stay up all night checking.



Of course, there is the chance I'm completely wrong about this whole thing and Sony will put it up in the middle of the night...

Patch number 1 doesn't do much of anything. It only fixes the corrupted roster files for those that had them. If your roster file wasn't corrupted, patch #1 doesn't mean anything to you. You should have started a dynasty already and if you are in one, you don't have to worry as it won't matter either way (which means no restarting). I'm not sure why some people are freaking out about patch #1. Many online dynasties are having no problems. Some of the issues people are having with them have nothing to do with either patch. If you had a corrupted roster file, that file will become garbage after the patch.

For you PS3 owners, just take Lanterix's PS3 file which has 116 of the 120 teams done (been like that for over 2 weeks and posted here in the rosters sub forum). If you want to wait for all 120 teams to be edited after the patch, keep waiting if you care about the 4 worst teams in the game. Otherwise, there was no reason to wait or keep waiting to start a dynasty (offline or online).

Patch #2 has all the gameplay and slider fixes which won't be out for another month. You won't have to restart a dynasty when that comes out either.

QFT. I've been using DT's roster since he released it and edited a bunch of teams and never had a single problem.

I have been doing the same. With the CPU RBA slider at 80 you actually have to pay attention the run. I have also been experimenting with keeping it at 80 for my RB's but not using the speed burst. Results are okay. Sometimes I only use the speed burst to "hit the hole" which feels much more like the real game.

I also keep my QBA slider at 35 with some creative editing on the QB's. I up the QB power and decrease the awareness. Really good results so far. I am seeing all kinds of underthrows and wounded ducks.

I just don't understand why it takes 3 weeks to approve a patch for NCAA but GTA4 got one in less then a week. I know GTA is a bigger profile game but, all games should be treated equal IMO. This goes for both Sony and MS because they both are moving very slow with this whole process. It's like both companies are saying "it's just NCAA football, no one will care." At this rate will be lucky to see the second patch by October.

It is nice of you to come here and explain things though and thanks for driving back to work to check for it.

I bet Adam (OMT) is glad we have another company to vent our displeasure towards for the moment!

There are a number of things that may contribute to that difference. We didn't find out about the roster issue until launch day, GTA may have known about the issue beforehand and had the patch in 3rd party testing before it came out. It's also possible Sony and MS just had less on their plate at the time. If they got 10 games submitted the day before we sent them our patch, they have to get through those 10 games first.

From what I understand, it's only the rosters and some other things, no critical gameplay updates. That's in Patch #2.
