I read on Twitter that if you have EA Play, you can play the three days early. You'll just have only the 10 hours to do so.Comment

Gents, I’ve been screaming 😱 to the Game Gods for the past two years about the Tred Cal custom pads, when are we getting those.? Someone PLEASE 🙏🏽 raise that request up the flag pole. Anybody…out there…crickets lol. If you’re a real equipment head, you know these are a must! Every one is acting like these pads don’t exist, I don’t get the silence 🤫 on this requestComment

A few questions I have:
Can we edit player traits on fake recruits in dynasty once they are on a team? (ie throws tight spiral, utilizes bull rush, et cetera)
Can we edit abilities on fake recruits in dynasty once they are on a team?
Are there separate sliders for user and CPU kicking power and accuracy?
If I’m an OC, will I get offered my schools HC job if my HC accepts a job elsewhere? Or brought along with my HC to his new school?
Or is the carousel better at all? In the Bourdeaux video, he was HC of Ball State and only had 1 HC offer and 3 coordinator offers. This would only make sense if they were bigger schools.Comment

I would add can we create recruits like we have in the past as well as adding traits and abilities to the created recruits? Can we edit appearances and hometowns of existing recruits (not real players)?
The answers to the bolded questions as well as the ones I asked will be the determining factor for me to purchase this game. 26 sounds like it will be better than 25, but it appears there isn't much improvement (from the videos) in dynasty mode. In my current dynasty, I took WVU to 4 National Championships in a 10-year period. My job offers in week 1 of the carousel (when I would be going for #5 in 11 years) was HC Michigan, OC Purdue, OC Texas A&M, OC Alabama. Are we going to do that dance again in 26? In 14 I would allow my contract to expire when I chose to leave so that the program I built to contenders would have top choices for my replacement. Unless I wanted the Michigan job, I'm waiting for the 2nd week which puts the school I'm leaving in a worse spot than I'd like.
It doesn't seem like a hard thing to implement. Once a HC gets fired/leaves, then the coordinators should automatically get put into the coach pool.👍 1Comment

I highly doubt that coordinators can get promoted. It was disappointing last year doing a Teambuilder dynasty and starting as a OC with the plan of getting promoted, then having to leave the school to get a HC job

I agree and not disputing that. Unless it's an obvious succession plan, we don't see many promotions.
I'm more talking about potential Marcus Freeman situations where the coach leaves for a "better" job and the coordinator gets a chance to be promoted. That's why I suggested that coordinators get put into the job pool once the coach leaves. How often does a new coach keep around existing coordinators unless they had prior relationship.Comment

Is there a way to "pre install" prior to 12pm tomorrow?

I don't believe a coordinator promotion to HC has ever (or will ever) happened when the HC gets fired. They usually want to clean then house at that point. A lot of times at least one coordinator gets fired when the HC gets fired. I have never been an OC or DC in 25 when the HC has been fired, so I don't know if any coach joins the former HC in the unemployment line.👍 1Comment

The last big HCIW I remember was Will Muschamp with Mack Brown at Texas. It never came to fruition because Mack overstayed and Muschamp went on to Florida. -
James Franklin at Maryland. Fridge stayed another year so Franklin bolted to Vandy. -
Jimbo Fisher was Coach-In-Waiting at FSU for Bobby Bowden starting as his second season at the OC. He eventually took over in 2010. The whole situation got weird because there was a clause in their agreement that he was owed like 5 Mil if he wasn't named coach by 2011.

Chip Kelly was hired as an OC and Head-Coach-In-Waiting under Bellotti and that was something that was gaining traction about 10 years ago. But the NCAA then put some of the same recruiting restrictions on them, which has deterred the practice. Morgan Scalley (DC, Utah) is the only Head-Coach-In-Waiting that I know about currently in FBS. Whittingham is 65 years old, so that is still something that happens. But it is typically when the program wants to hold onto a coach when they believe the Head Coach is nearing retirement. I agree the promotion of a coordinator should be something that happens if a successful HC retires.

I'm mostly talking about a Marcus Freeman situation. Where if a HC is having success and leaves for a "better job", the coordinators having a chance chance to get promoted. For my Teambuilder team, I started as an OC. Our HC left for a better job after a championship, but both me and the DC stayed and we got a new HC. I just rather one of us get the job.
Either way, I know how I'll approach it this time around . I'll either start as the HC of my TB school or as a DC of a 1 star school👍 1Comment
