Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions
people have mentioned the rocket catching, but overall doesnt this game play a lot like madden 09 too? i barely played madden but it feels kinda like that to me. anybody who played madden last year more than me feel the same way? the game does feel different than ncaa 09, its harder to complete deep passes. thats partially due to personally me not being able to judge passes if i user catch. even when i have a receiver get by the defense im having trouble positioning him to make the catch. theres going to be a bit of an adjustment period. the pressure is improved over 09.Comment

What's wrong with wide open gameplay? Please take note that most of what I say and post is made in satire.

I'm hoping that's not just a fluke, one time thing.Comment

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions
A few more things after playing a couple of games on AA:
-Running the ball seemed slightly easier than it was on Heisman. I broke a long run in each game. Scored on one, hawked on the other one.
-On the QB sneak the QB actually tries to get low this year instead of standing straight up and getting hit in the mouth.
-The cpu actually disguised coverages a little. In 09 it was easy to see that the blitz was coming by looking at the corners. In the demo, the corners gave the blitz look, but dropped off into coverage.
-Loving the player lock even more. Was able to pressure the QB once, which forced him to throw a pick, and then able to go throw a block to help my FS go score.
-Really hope that Adam is right about the spike play logic being fixed. Although Tebow did use the fake spike against me for a TD.
-Felt like the cpu brought a little less pressure on AA than on Heisman. Still didn't get alot of pressure on the cpu besides the one instance I mentioned above.
-Thought that cpu made a good adjustment of calling more screens after I started blitzing more.
-Pass coverage appears to be better.Comment

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions
For what it's worth; I had no problem rushing for a TD and a few first downs on Heisman using OU. As tebow I rushed quite a bit as well. Didn't do much HB rushing with Florida, as I am really inexperienced running out of the shotgun.Comment

Ahh, so that's what they're calling the "you can't run but you can pass all day" gameplay these days. :wink:Comment

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions
I don't see why there isn't outrage against this. Do people realize how many big games come down to a FG in real life. College Kickers are anything but automatic.
The guys at EA should really watch a few games. Are these guys even college football fans?Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions
running on heisman is a productive as it was last year. ran every play for an entire game. over 100 yards with no big runs. you have to use motion with your fb and te's to fight the d's overloads. i do see from time to time the old tecmo you called my play d. got sacked by both dt's on a play and wasnt finished dropping back.(5 step drop) but running is good. the cpu can actually stop me some.Comment
