Have played the demo once...purely a defensive game. 10-3 i lost to OKLA., the defensive pass rush was crazy i liked the player lock i think it just takes some getting used to but i realized i was up a creek once not being in the play.
Need more time to get a better impression...

BTW...played the Fight Night Demo at least 20 times...beating the hell out of Hatton.
Comeback can happen...thanks to EA Sports!

Well i just played the demo and liked itthe run blocking isn't terrible but not great against the blitz i lost 13-10 to OU have to get used to the gameplan thing, the robo QB is still there bradford went 11-17 against me the only time he missed is when i got pressure. I just hope EA patches the sliders on release because i'm considering getting this game now

It's an 8-minute game. 10-3 is hardly "purely defensive."

I've played the demo probably about 10 times now. I'm ambivalent, and not really looking forward to the release date. I'm 32, which may have something to do with it, but I recall really looking forward to releases past.

        The good:

The animations seem much improved. I like the new blocking moves, the tackles, and the over-the-head catches.

Graphically, the game looks pretty good. I'd like to see a day game to really judge things, though.

Pursuit angles seem to be addressed, and have a real impact on gameplay. This was one of the biggest problems last year, and it's nice to see that they addressed it. It seems way better now, and gameplay was much more fun because of it.

        The bad:

I really hate to beat a dead horse, but doing so is somewhat appropriate, because the game, atmospherically, is about as exciting as a dead horse. Field goal nets?!?!? Windsocks?!?!? You have to be kidding me. I actually ran across a copy of NCAA04 the other day, and it actually offered more in terms of presentation. How can that be? A lesser priced game, on worse technology, now 6 years old? Ridiculous.

QB pressure is still awful. I know people are getting pressure manually, but it should be there to begin with. Both QBs had all day to throw. I'd like to think sliders will fix this, but it's hard to give the benefit of the doubt at this point. They had an entire year to fix them, didn't do so, and now we really expect it to be addressed in a patch? We'll see.

Special teams are still terrible, with the same few "plays" that we've had now for 20 years.

        Hard to tell:

Robo QB. Both QBs are awesome, and without any pressure, it's conceivable that they would complete almost everything. We'll see what it's like when Florida plays Akron.

Gameplan. It's an 8-minute game. Who knows what this feature will be like over the course of a full game. I did see a high number of fumbles and not many facemasks/missed tackles when playing "aggresively," but the sample size is pretty small for that.

That's about it for now. I'm pretty bored with the demo, so that'll probably be it, but I'll update if I think of anything else. Still not sure that I will buy the game new. It's only $60, but I'm just not feeling it right now.

That's almost dead on what his completion percentage was in the NC game last year. He's arguably the best QB in college football; of course he's going to make most of his throws with no pressure applied.

            - Please get rid of the glitch where the CPU calls no huddle and runs to the line, while my Defense slowly walks back to the line....then the CPU QB snaps the ball before all of my Defense is back and I get an encroachment penalty. This should be fixed pronto.
this has always been an issue.

Yeah, you are quite lucky if Bradford goes 11-17. That actually sounds pretty accurate.

"Robo QB" is when he goes 10-11, and the one incompletion was an interception. Ugh.

I have a problem with the no huddle. I will be playing as Florida and Oklahoma will go into no huddle. The game clock will stop going down so it ruins the point of no huddle.

Also does anybody else feel that WR #11 for Florida dominates? He is amazing when I play Florida and when I play as Florida.

I don't know if I'm going to buy this game. I have NCAA Football 08 for the 360 and I love it. I never played 09 because I was happy with 08. I have heard that 10 is just like 09 but with a few more upgrades. Should I get 09 or 10 or just stay with 08?

I cannot get past the graphics on the PS3 version. I've never been one to make graphics priority #1 in games but NCAA10's on the PS3 are so bad, I can't get past them. Now I'm sure some people will rush into to defend the graphics but I play on a 61" HDTV and the game looks lastgen.

I was very excited about NCAA 10 but now after playing the demo, not sure. For one EA how come you keep using the same commentary? For once it would be so refreshing to hear new commentary and some new animations. Would it kill you to add some more depth to the gameplay. Although I do indeed love the player lock feature and I understand that this is just a demo but please start putting more focus into the commentary for once. I know a lot of people probably could care less about the commentary but by now it is getting repetitive, I mean I promise you that I have heard Lee Corso say the same stupid phrases since 07. Please breath some new life into this game....

game seems OK havent played ncaa for like 2 years.

i really liked that new defensive camera they had for rushing the qb or what not seems cool on how the offensive linemen line up

when i played with florida on the first qb run with tebow he fractured his leg and was out for 12 weeks anyways i still won the game but one think that i didnt really like are the WR catching animations yet it still seems weird in certain situations especially in the endzone and weirdly the CB goes way out of posistion i mean the game still seemed kinda fun but lacked emotion in the demo just my 2 cents but it is a DEMO.

does seem like they put way more work into madden tho but thats finally deserving

As of right now, it looks that way. I just don't see that much of an important to warrant $60 at this time.

Guys keep seeing a difference in gameplay and I played both back and forth the last few days, and I really don't see anything different, I think 09 gameplay is better IMO. Who knows, maybe after viewing more videos I may change my mind.

I'm just not giving $60 out of the gate until the patches for the roster and sliders come out, this two issues are major for me, and It's pretty upsetting that these two major factors in the game are not right at release.

I'm over on 360, but I don't think I disagree with you. Part of it is the dynamic camera, which takes some getting used to. But I just feel like there's a little less detail on the player models, and they have this blurry effect when you're zoomed out that may be intentional, but looks kinda bad.

It could be an issue with the demo, but our demo was 1.6 GB, which is pretty darn large for a demo. I remember NBA 2k8 came out and people were FREAKED by the crummy graphics, though that demo was like 350 MB!

i think the demo is good and the graphics look pretty good. I am glad that they fixed the fluidity of running. I almost think it is worth it to buy ncaa 10 just so i do not have to watch my guy look awkward as he runs toward the end zone with a hitch in his gitty up.
