G-MEN_IN_MASS - I think you misunderstood my post, I meant that if we had to use #'s and couldn't have the real player names i'd bail on the series. I keep my NCAA and play it usually way more than Madden (although this past year it was more equal).

I understand what your saying.. I wouldnt play it at all if it only had numbers, but the big reason I do buy and play it, because of what it brings to Madden.. Dont get me wrong I love College Footabll and will play the heck out of this game when it comes out and if its really good this year I will hold on to it and keep playing it

What I do is get my football fix play about 3 or 4 season and return it for Madden, Gamestop give you 40 bucks, So I end up paying 80-90 bucks for 2 games

The way I look at it, you end up paying about $80-$90 bucks for Madden. If you only keep NCAA until Madden comes out, it seems like a waste of $25 or so dollars, but to each it's own. If you get your fun out of NCAA, who am I to change your mind. =)

Not worth getting early for me. Even after release, it usually collects dust for a few days until I get named rosters. The game just isn't appealing for me without names.

Same. I know of a place in MD that will definitely have it but it's not worth it to me.

I live in the hope mills/Fayetteville area of north Carolina, anyone know of places I could get this early at? Pm me if so, I'm really anxious to get my hands on the game. If the place is more than an hour away then I'll just wait for the midnight release...

Reading through this thread and seeing places being mentioned... if anyone knows a place {Mom & Pop store} in Missouri could you please PM me? I am in KC, but Lawrence, Kansas is a short 60 minute hop from here. Anywhere close to me would be appreciated if anyone knows of one.

no need to pay extra money. mom and pop stores are not held to the same release date standards as the big chain stores so they can sell the games wenever they want

This is false. It's just that "mom and pop" stores are more willing to break the street date for whatever reason, probably to maximize their profit when they're already going up against tough odds in battling the chains.

That and the fact that most mom and pop stores really just simply don't know and/or care about these dates. I think it's a combination of things for most, they have an idea that they probably shouldn't sell it early but they see people buying it early and figure, hey if we can sell it, let's do it, who cares?
