On a more relevent topic, I think that we should generally be happy in X-Box-land that this "patch" hasn't dropped. There is a A LOT of blowback on it in the impressions threads. So I'm kind of cautiously optimistic that the longer it takes for ma' dear ol' X-Box, the better it'll be.

i just turned mine on to see if the servers were down, they are up right now at least...and still no patch

Sorry, man, I just find it funny when people criticize others for their issues without looking in the mirror (or the grammar checker). Especially when they're trying to make the point that people angry about stuff should be allowed to post, but not people that are happy.

The newer thread that rudyjuly started seems to have some positive feedback in it. I'm hoping this is going to drop first thing tomorrow morning, but I'm not holding my breath.

It would've been professional of someone to at least say something about the status of the patch today, even if it were to tell us to look for it in October.

You contradict yourself multiple times. This is a forum where people are allowed to express their opinions. If I find nothing wrong with the game, why can't I express that when someone else can complain about stuff they don't like? What you see and what I see are two different games, there is no right or wrong. So I'll praise them all I want.
We all want different things when it comes to gaming, when I say that I don't find anything wrong with the game, how am I ruining it for the rest of you? This forum doesn't exist for just pointing things out that are wrong with the game.

You're right, I was out of line. The reason it screws it up for people who want change is that EA is a business and they would like nothing more than us to accept the product as is. So when people praise them it gives them an incentive to not try to produce something better. Complacency comes from a lack of objection--and that's what a lot of us see.

A lot of people have wondered for a long time what this game could look like if the development team said, ok, nothing new this year, we're only going to fix the issues that we already have. I think a lot of us would pay for that game. But my guess is, there's no way in h*** that EA would allow them to release a game that's just "fixed", without new shiny bells and whistles to advertise.

There's nothing wrong with pointing out the problems these games have, because they do have issues, and the developers need to know. But I do give them credit for trying to patch the game and improve on what is already (IMO) a good to great game.

BTW, I would've killed for the ability to have patches back in the last gen days. I don't know about you guys, but NCAA 2005 was the only game in the series I put away after a month because of the dropped passes.

So, we all sit and wait for the patch. Or a nugget of info from EA/MS. Just give us a bone, huh?

Alright enough of the grammar arguments and E-Penis junk. Cut it out.

All of us 360 users are a little frustrated right now. In my opinion, because I'm paying MS for XBox Live, I should never get content/patches after PSN. That is what irks me, and I think is digging at a lot of us even if doesn't seem like it.

Anytime I'm paying for a service (that is going to go up $10 in Nov) I expect top quality, top speed, and top response considering that other than PC MMOs, we are the only people paying to play and access online features.
