I'm thinking this is more the problem, the majority of the passes seem like right on the spot

it was better on the last gen games. NCAA 11 didn't quite have the look of a half empty stadium at the end of a blowout like some of the older gen games did.

Ia anyone concerned that the wide receiver dives for the ball when it seems like he could have done the new reach catch animation and keep running??? I watch that video a dew times and it didn't look at all like he needed to dive. It was like he reached for it, caught it and then instead of running he dove. Just an observation....

Some of the tackles still look unnatural. Going against the momentum of the player and whatnot. But I've accepted that this isn't going to change on this gen with this engine.

Still excited about the gameplay improvements though. Love the second video especially if the crowd noises work like they did in the video (roars when a big play is happening).

Yeah none on this video were true dive catches.....However on another website they have a slightly different video and they have actual dive catches on there.

Man I love how this game is shaping up. All these little details are coming together nicely and now with these game play additions I can't wait to till july. With that being said these are some things that I saw that concerned me.

              Presentation video

              Around the :35- :36 mark
The WR jumps for the ball and should have got killed by the oncoming defender but he powered through the tackle before he was firmly on the ground. Crowd reaction was great though

              Around the 1:20 mark
I'm still not sold that there are consecutive hit tackles. If you look the defender is holding up the ball carrier and #6 from Stanford comes in and should just level the guy but it looks like he just kinda bounces off. Like mentioned earlier I think its just more 2 man animations. Which is still a plus.

              Gameplay Video

              Around the :22 mark
ND DE #89 sheds the block but is facing in the wrong direction and has his back to the ball. I hope this isn't the answer to allowing the read opt to work better.

Around :28 Mizzou DE still using the GOD swim move but he was engaged with the OL first which does make it better than the insta-swim.

              Around :42 mark
OSU DB was on top of the PSU WR and should have just kept running to get an easy pick instead he jump for a swat allowing the WR to catch the ball.

These are just a few things I saw. But hey it very early so I feel we are light years ahead to be getting vids looking this good. Great job EA team
Don't mind me I'm just lurking

thanks for that I wasn't sure how to embed it.

My only gripes about the game so far is the ol/dl play still, if you watch the oline in these vids on passing plays its terrible. Watch cals oline starting at 1:00 and you'll see cals #58 warp from in front of a defender to behind. Its very early and I hope this gets addressed ASAP.
OL/DL warping was one of the biggest problems in 11. Hopefully it gets fixed.
                  EA: Please add in-game saves.

Great video... One small detail they got wrong at Autzen is that the walls are now black, not white http://ducknation.files.wordpress.com/2010/12/autz.jpg (hopefully can be fixed). But still loving the improvements.

burgh, that could have been done on purpose to show of that animation. now once the games is released and it happens over and over again, it would be a concern, especially since you can't get back up and run in college.

Sweet! If it wasn't for mlb the show I probably would be tinkeling myself with anticipation. As it stands now I'm very excited for NCAA, but not urinating myself excited just yet.

This looks incredible!!!!! My only grid is that ND still has the uniforms from the Weis era. Not that there that much different now (the numbers on the shoulders have been replaced with a small ND) but it would be nice to get them in

The videos look fantastic, but I notice in the "TX-OU tackling" clip that the Cotton Bowl Stadium (the real one- not the JerryWorld monstrosity). The upper bowl of the stadium needs to be completely filled in.

I been playing some NCAA 11 lately and my biggest beef is the blocking. This is how a general blocking engagement plays out.

                                1) Both players lock in a blocking animation.
                                2) Both players remain in a static straight up block animation. No lateral or any kind of movement as if there was a struggle.

Then 1 of 3 things happen

                                1) The system says the Offensive blocker has won engagement and either he slams the defender to the ground or brick walls him for rest of play.

                                2) The system says defender has beaten the offensive blocker and immediately shoots pass the blocker like he just let him go from the spot he was standing.

                                3) The system decides it is a neutral engagement and both struggle in a wrap around animation. Thus seeing the animation of the tackles trying to block a DE getting to the QB animation.

Fixes that need to be in place.

                                1) Once a engagement happens. Weight/momentum of the blocker vs weight/momentum of the defender should be accounted far and the animation should steer the two players in the correct directions.

                                2) Then the blocker and the defender should engage in lateral movement as the defender tries to get around blocker. This would give some indication of what side the defender is attempting to make play and give a visual clue of where to take your back for best success.

                                3) The system should read the success rate of the ratings not entirely on just ratings. Weight and momentum should play the major role, then skill is the deciding factor of success.
I really feel you on this. I am no programmer but I think this could be greatly improved by just adding a user "engage" button, maybe the left trigger on the controller. If the user had an option to engage a player or not, so would the AI and this would allow for more realistic animation variation. For example, win/lose/tie animations for an offensive player engaging but the defender not engaging, trying to block shed (ie. defenders trying to get to the QB/ball carrier), win/lose/tie animations for a defender engaging but the offensive player not engaging, trying to shed contact (ie. OL getting out for screen passes, WR/TE getting off the LOS and finally defensive holding would exist) and win/lose/tie animations for both offensive player and defender engaging (ie. defender trying to hold the point or trying to push the offensive player back into the back field and a offensive player trying to pass protect or run block).
