Given the NFL's stance on exclusivity and from what I have read in the past, I question the validity of that. Where has EA ever admitted they lobbied for it, particularly in 2004?

Edit. Now that I think about it, I was told by two people on the 2k5 dev team that the NFL approached them for a bid.

Gee, I haven't seen that one before.

Told you yesterday I use all of them , even Mascot mode, and my youngest likes Mascot mode.

It's called making a reach or stretching logic because you can't make your point.

Man I specifically remember you saying you didn't like RTG and wouldn't care if they removed it from the game. I should go try to find that post. Of course now you are a RTG player.

Take it up with gamespot. They're probably just making things up or have some axe to grind.

I'll take BK's word over gamespots, thanks. He was in close contact with the 2k developers at the time

I do play RTG, Offline Dynasty, Online Dynasty, Online Play now, and regular play now. Mascot mode is something for kicks, it's fun to play if I happen to go on a losing streak online.

Mascot mode is give or take, but the cost to put that in is minimal, since they just replace every player with ONE copy of a mascot, versus different players with different attributes and accessories. Plus, every team doesn't even HAVE a mascot.

Either way, a game designed for console compatibility shouldn't be obligated to provide a feature for use on a computer, for free.

I said I played it, I also said if they removed it I would live or would be fine with. . Go find whatever post you want.

I said I quetioned the validity of gamespot's statement. Based on what 2k5 team members told me, and since they didn't put any actual source to it, they just made a real vague statement.

Don't get snippy because you can't make a point.

                  lol

                  ask for a source.
receive a source that has credibility and is unbiased.
                  claim the source is wrong.

Not to mention they made some statement about EA admitting to lobbying the NFL with no specifics. I'd like to see where this information came from and specifcially what it was.

Yeah, it wasn't a source, of course not.

                        Don't be ridiculous.

You were just asking dude for a source because you thought there wasn't one and you'd "catch" him making up things. Now that one has been posted move on to discrediting it.

What was the source? One line that had no actual information in it?

Where is the source that EA lobbied the NFL or the NCAA?

Five-year contract gives EA sole rights to the NFL, including teams, players, and stadiums. Take-Two reacts, calling it a "tremendous disservice to the consumers."

I'm not going to waste time looking for another one just so you can proclaim it doesn't count.

There's grounds for discrediting it because the "source" wasn't even an actual source. IT was just a statement with no accompanying evidence. If you're (Gamespot) gonna say EA lobbied for exclusivity, at least post the interview where they stated as much.

If you write a paper and credit one line as a source of your information (In your case), or not even credit the source you got that "claim" from (In Gamespot's case), you think the teacher is gonna accept that paper? I think not.

Like I said, we need some gameplay videos and the demo, because we're all getting uptight over DLC and an exclusive-rights deal. Luckily E3 is right around the corner.
