Re: Soft Commit Question
I believe only the top player(s) on your recruiting board are really affected. I'm in the fourth year at Rice and landed the #10 HB recruit in my third season. I started out with him as my top target, but I moved him further and further down because I needed help recruiting other players. At one point, I had him around 6 or 7 on my board even though he was the HB I wanted most and had a 3-star HB at the top of my board.
Sometimes, recruits just want to go to a certain school and it doesn't matter where you have them on your board.Comment

Re: Soft Commit Question
In one of the older versions of NCAA they said that a players position on your board would have an effect on his interest. Unfortunately EA introduces new elements and then forgets to put them in the next version so who knows if it still has an effect.Comment

Re: Soft Commit Question
Super unlikely that he will commit to another school.
A soft commit is basically saying that i will sign with you.
I have never lost a soft commit or stolen a soft commit from another school.
To make him commit just keep talking to him.
Dont use too much time though.Comment

Re: Soft Commit Question
i would really like to know if recruits "react" to their position on your recruiting board
but i'm going to assume that they don't
because every week i go to look at my board and it has been reorganized
in no discernable order?
anyone else have this problem?

Re: Soft Commit Question
It'd be kinda dumb if a recruit knew about the coaches recruiting board and knew he was listed as #35 or something. When i was recruited out of high school nobody knew where they were on coaches board, so if it's in the game i think that's dumb if it affects a players recruitment at all.Comment

Re: Soft Commit Question
make sure you change your settings to manual for everything or else the computer will organize your board, add recruits to it, and offer scholorships to them too.Comment

Re: Soft Commit Question
It would make absolutely no sense to me if where they are on your board affects their interest at all. That list is for the coach's reference.
