They said it would be BEFORE THE END OF AUGUST.

Way to get our hopes up...again. What a truly awful company EA Sports is.

And they gave it to Microsoft before the end of August.

They didn't say they'd submit it before the end of August, they said the patch would be out before the end of August. By now they have a very good idea how long the approval process takes.

I'd rather it came out later and be perfect than sooner and still have issues, so I'm fine with it, but just don't make promises you can't keep.

I cannot wait till they start talking about NCAA 13.

I wonder if the Wishlist for 13 will include a wish for the game to actually work before the end of the 2012 season...I mean come on! The end of the world is 12-21-2012, I gotta get at least a few seasons in before that!

Ben said it "looks like" it will be out before the end of August. He didn't make any guarantees or say any date was a certainty.

a few hours ago i said eff it, i might as well try the game again, start a dynasty and just go through the pre-season stuff and maybe play a game in hope that the patch drops this week. of course my week 1 game was amazing with a big comeback and a lot of big plays i rarely pull off. i pull within a TD of tying the game with 3 min. left and i have the cpu on a 3rd and 18...and the freakin' game freezes. this garbage is just unplayable. you never know when the game's going to freeze up on you. an hour and a great game wasted. not to mention some off season stuff. sorry if i want to play offline with custom rosters. i shouldn't have to choose between the default junk or the random freezing. i'd even take all the bugs over the freezing.

You're not alone. I play only off-line and I've had 4 different dynasties come to an end because at some point... and they're all random... the game just freezes and when I replay the game, it freezes again. Never at the same point, just always whatever game it is.

First dynasty, it was year five, second one was year three, third one was year four, fourth one was week one, year one.

Stunning to me that they couldn't get this patch out before Labor Day w/ end.

You're not alone. I play only off-line and I've had 4 different dynasties come to an end because at some point... and they're all random... the game just freezes and when I replay the game, it freezes again. Never at the same point, just always whatever game it is.

That's horrible.

I am running a dynasty that won't end up being my "real" one and had some freezing issues in game one. I kept trying to play it and finally was able to finish it without freezing problems. Haven't seen any since. I am playing it pretty slow.

Pretty ridiculous it has taken two months. EA should have immediately came out and acknowledged and patched it that same week. I don't know how releasing patches works, but that should have been a freebie and not counted against the standard of two game patches.

That would piss me off to no end.

I turned that off before I ever started a dynasty. One.. it's annoying as all hell to hear the same stupid report for a solid week and two, it's like 10 times louder than the game menu is... so that annoying voice comes blasting through your speakers and jolts the crap out of you.
