Re: NCAA Football 12 Title Update #2 - Waiting on Approval From Microsoft and Sony

Only way NCAA will get back to being a great game is if we talk with our money and not with our keyboards.

This year NCAA had a lot longer time between big brother madden and their release and the time I spent on NCAA was much less then previous years.

You should see how many used copies are at my 2 local Game Stops.

I will not be spending money next year on this game because it is not right to have their game be playable sometime in late September when they came out in early July.

Next year I will play it with season ticket and most likely get a decision on the game in those 3 days. But to me Madden blew out NCAA this year more then ever

And this is where people need to stand as one and say... not again. Let the hype machine run from March to release day... how seriously will they take things if the game only sells 50,000 copies instead of 2.3 million?

If you think I'm buying this half-***ed garbage next year you're wrong.

It really doesn't hit EA until less units are sold. Huffing and Puffing now about how EA blew it doesn't mean a thing in September, show them in July by not buying the game day 1.
I do agree with you guys. You have to hit them where it hurts, and when it counts. But, that wasnt my point for writing what i did. And, I'm not saying I won't be a fool and buy it again next year. I was more or less just writing in response to the topic of the thread, and basically saying I have given up hope on this patch and even when it does come it probably wont matter becasue a lot of us will be playing something else. Contrary to papular belief i do feel that EA does care if gamers continue playing their game. Now obviously launch day sales are the most important thing. But, i do believe continued play is important to them in some regard.

I can't wait until early next July to see who actually has the courage of their convictions.

The courage of their convictions? What a joke... I could really care less about the total numbers, the bottom line is I won't buy it so I don't have to deal with this crap.

But this is how we're screwed. If we don't buy this game anymore, they might feel college football isn't worth it anymore, and stop making a game. We went from 2 pretty good college hoops game, down to nothing.

exactly. If the game doesn't sell why would EA feel the need to continue making the game. Double edged sword. Everyone swears that if we all banded together and not buy the game that it would force EA to change the game. That may not be the case, especially when other titles bring in so much money for EA. They could just simply say, "well, they're not buying it. Lets cancel the title and move them to something that will sell"

Since EA has a contract to be the sole provider of NCAA football video games, I think it would be in their best interest to... you know... actually make the game. People not rushing out and buying it would send the message that we are tired of the crap and to get it right.

So be it. It's not like this game is head and shoulders better than the PS2, XBOX days. You can argue that game had more features, less bugs and more fun.

I don't care if the patch drops today, tomorrow, or doesn't drop at all; I plan on buying NCAA 13 regardless.

Does that make me some EA homer? No, I don't have any allegiance to them at all. The only two sports games I buy on a yearly basis are NCAA and The Show. And why? Because I happen to thoroughly enjoy each game every year.

I'm not trying to disregard the complaints of anyone who is dissatisfied with the game in any way, but the way I spend the money I make is by spending it on things that I personally enjoy. If you're unhappy with NCAA 12, then don't buy NCAA 13. Or do. Whatever. I'm happy with the game, so I'm gonna continue to spend money on the series until I'm personally unhappy with the money I've spent.

Honestly, I don't care if that somehow makes me a jaded consumer or not. Because, like I said, I spent my own money on the game. I have a right to spend it however I see fit. And each poster here, and each person who is in the market for a college football game, is free to do the same. If you've been routinely disappointed by EA products, chances are you need to start limiting the amount of goods you consume from them. But, if you don't, that's your prerogative. Spend your money however you see fit. If you think it will send a message to EA by not buying their product for a year, go for it. But I can almost promise you it will make no difference because for every person who decides to not buy NCAA 13 because of NCAA 12, there will be someone else out there who will buy into the 13 hype and it will all balance itself out. And for every ten posters here who say they aren't buying the game next year, there are probably fifty in the real world who have no idea about the bugs and glitches. Hell, of those ten posters who say they aren't gonna buy next year, probably half of those at the very least are just marching to the beat of the collective drum here and just whining to fit in and will end up buying on release day anyways...

you guys cracks me up thinking that if the 30 people in here that claim are not buying the game next year will put a dent in what EA does with the game going forward, i lolz at you hard.

this year was a record sale for them, and with all the social media, and different ways they can find to get the game to a larger audience, sales are going to increase each year here on out.
