that doesn't help dynasty beyond the first couple of seasons though, which is 99% of my time in NCAA series.

here we go again with the good old dynasty excuse

some one say's this rating can help you out and there's always that one guy who states it doesn't help me for Dynasty mode long term

At this point does it really matter if the ratings help for Dynasty mode in NCAA 09?

Your using the edits to get the best possible gameplay right now....not 2-3years down the road for your dynasty.

You can either enjoy the game with the edits or you can play the game without ever seeing what the edits do.....

The bottom line is you already know how the game plays without the edit....what you don't know is how it plays with the edits.

I've debated this with guys in NCAA 11 and 12.....you can choose to enjoy gameplay enhancements for a short little while or you can continue to roll with what EA offers you long term and i'm willing to bet the short term edits will outduel anything you can get from EA long term without it

I will provide you the link to the sliders that are connected to the roster file so you can see that the game could be edited to play better defense.

All EA football games can be edited to play better than what EA offers out of the box because they have the tools themselves they just don't use it or know how to use it LOL!

2007: A huge drop off from '06. I remember be so incredibly disappointed with that game.

2008: Similar to '08. I began to realize we were going to be in for a rough ride the rest of this generation of consoles.

2009: One of my favorites NCAA's of all time, simply because of Online Dynasty mode. I played this game a full year.

2010: Defense was non-exsitent, but Online Dynasty held me over.

2011: The first real leap in gameplay since '06. Had its flaws, but I'd say this was my favorite of the generation at the time.

2012: I've been lucky enough to have been hammered with all of these bugs. I think Coaching Carousel will prove to be the games biggest feature as early as next year, they just need to get some of the Dynasty logic straightened out, as well as progression. Gameplay is better than '11, Custom Playbooks allow for a lot of variation, and Custom Conferences add to the immersion. Not only this, but Online Dynasty received all of these updates as well.

I loved NCAA 09 and still pull it out now and then. I loved the "wide open" game play. After all the patches I felt the game played the best since the ps2/xbox days of NCAA 06. I didn't have an issue with the angles the D would take because it is a college game and college players take poor angles. I have been enjoying NCAA 12 but not like I enjoyed NCAA 09.

Basically since they switched to next gen everythings been awful. NCAA 07 on PS2 was probably the best game I've ever played. 08 on PS2 was leaps and bounds better then what it was on the next gen consoles too. Those games found a way to work outta the box, its a little disappointing ea can't seem to do that anymore.

Man screw that game.....09 was my least favorite by far.....

There was absolutely No way to pressure the qb with just 4......

Every freaking OL cut blocked to perfection....no matter the ratings....there would be times when the entire DLine would get cut blocked in unison.......Take a Bleeping bow for that one Tiburon

I remember AuburnAlummni practically on the verge of insanity because the DL flopping all over the place in that game

And in Typical EA Fashion....The devs around here looked at us like we were crazy when people brought this up time and time again for patch requests.....citing that they "got plenty of sacks"...as if that made it ok

Every one is right about the ncaa 09 "speed was all that mattered" thing... I played it the other day and the WR's drop wide open passes 50% of the time... & on ps2 it had the new highlight stick!!!! Which all u had to do was flick the right analong stick forward and u broke the tackle every single time!!! But, in the newer ncaa games it is impposible to run kicks back!!! I remeber on 09 i was missouri and jeremy maclin had 4 KR TD's which is a realistic # but in ncaa 12 im lucky 2 get 1 kick return TD each year

I think I had 10 punt return tds one year. My WR was a beast along with the terrible everybody moves the way I move thing. It was awful.

NCAA 09 wasn't that good...no defense in that game at all..***nning animations were terrible.

NCAA 12 is waaaaaaaay better than that game...by a long shot.

That running motion was TERRIBLE!!!!

I was able to get sacks but you had to control a fast end and loop them back inside. Right before contact with the tackle if you cut inside then you could get around the tackle and the QB would do that dumb step move into the sack.

You guys are getting out of hand, i didn't mean to offend anyone..

I never said 09 was better than '12, i just stated that some of the features, like better blocking, and a louder crowd was a breathe of fresh air when i popped the game in, wow, didn't mean for it to end like this.

09 had the truck stick down pat.RB would lower his head,hug the ball and flat out detroy the defender sometimes.wish they had kept that animation and tweaked it so only Rbs with high trucking would get that.But i havent seen that animation in 2-3yrs sigh
