I am going to go against the grain here and say I think this Heisman mode looks like it could be quite fun and I think I may enjoy it. I think it's funny all the criticism EA is taking over this when so many people really LOVED 2K Sports addition of superstar mode with Michael Jordan and all those classic players, which is probably where EA got this idea from btw.

As for me, I know I played NBA2K a LOT more because of that superstar mode where you had goals set for players and had to meet them to unlock achievements and although I'm not sure this mode will be that addictive it certainly looks like it has the potential to be.

The difference between the 2 is in NBA 2K12 and NBA 2K11 the classic teams aren't all rated ABOVE 100. In Heisman mode, all the Heisman players are rated above 100.

Where is the challenge in that ??????? You got a player on steroids, super juiced to the max. It would be damn near impossible to not break their Heisman record in a single season.

Obviously speaking for myself here, but I did enjoy the Jordan challenge mode. I also very much enjoy NBA2k11/12's regular gameplay. To me there aren't any glaring issues with gameplay that get magnified in 2k's My Player or Jordan challenge mode, which IMO is the case in RTG/Superstar.

I can't enjoy RTG/Superstar mode due to the often wonky gameplay of NCAA/Madden. Based on what (admittedly small bit) I saw in the webcast, Heisman Challenge looks just like RTG but with a cheesy bullet-time effect thrown on top, so I don't think I can enjoy this either.

Bro, the trailer was full of the same broken tackle animations. Plus the idea of puttin the heisman winner on any team is dumb. This is A FAIL. I'm done with EA Sportd my dude.

If ea wants to make a legend mode they need to do it right. If they did I'd never put it down, because I really love old school foot all.

Take photos of players from the era. And make the player models look like the players did back when they played.

That includes huge shoulder pads. Long jersey sleeves. Old big facemask. All that.

Then give us retro stadiums. And the uniforms the players wore when they played.

just to show how EA always puts minimum effort into these fluff back of the box modes, now hear me out because this might be crazy. what if, just what if...you could export a heisman guy from your dynasty to Heisman challenge? and you could share him

wouldn't that be something? i mean i still wouldn't care, but at least it would show that they put some effort into this. they didn't just slap together a marketing feature

Tuned in very late.

Two things: 1) FSU's pants are almost white. 2) Dude rolling WAY left with Charlie Ward, then instantly turning around and throwing to a receiver on the right side of the field and hitting him on a rope between the numbers.



Hopefully it's on super-below-rookie mode.

I just don't understand why they can't fix the things that 90% of the gamers complain about. I normally wait til I actually play the game before I pass judgement and I'm trying hard to do that with '13 but the more I see, the harder it gets...I just don't understand why they don't work with Madden and implement some of the same things.

I don't understand. They guys PowerPoint thing said retro gear. But I don't see any. Can someone explain this?

Or did they just use the ger that's already In ncaa12 that kind of looks like retro gear.

Couple of key differences though - Michael Jordan is immortalized, and pretty much anyone who ever played basketball wanted the experience to 'be like Mike'.

As they admitted in the webcast, a lot of the people playing the game think Desmond Howard is just some guy on College Gameday.

The only one that even intrigues me a little bit to play as is Barry Sanders...buuuuuut (and it's a huge but)....he doesn't play like Barry Sanders!

NBA 2K captured Jordan's mannerisms, moves, etc almost perfectly. There were times I played that mode and I was like wow, I remember the game that Jordan did that move.

Barry Sanders isn't going to be low to the ground, shifty, and making the most ridiculous juke moves you've ever seen. He's going to play like a cheese version of any other running back in NCAA Football 13.

NBA 2K had great dynasty and gameplay before they need to 'shake things up' with a mode like the Jordan Challenges.

NCAA still has a lot of work to do in those areas so it's frustrating to see them create a mode like this now, and then to not implement in a way that it doesn't feel like a modified version of RTG (which it is). I just feel like this development time could have been better used elsewhere.

Of course. Thats what I'm saying. They should have never done this. Certainly not half assed it. If your not going to work on gamplay. Then at least make an a,zing mode.
