Plays like this make me weary about the "improved" AI. The two middle LB's drop straight back to their assigned zones and don't even give the run any kind of respect. They dropped back 30-35 yards before they even recognized the run and by then it was too late as they were in no man's land.

I understand it's a draw play, but the reaction by the D seemed a little extreme. It may not be a big deal but it could end up being a money play if defenders drop deep like that all the time and are slow to react to a run play...

This game just feels much more smoother than 12. It seems like there isn't any more psychic defensive play calling. That adds strategy to playing the computer instead of having to audible every play. It also seems better running the ball. If this game is fun imagine how much more fun Madden 13 will be :-D

Couple things....

#1 played 1 game sofar, as Bama vs LSU, Plays as a much more polished NCAA game. The crowd responded correctly to the 7-0 score late in the 2nd. I threw a pick 6 & the crowd erupted!!! very nice!!

I had pressured the Qb early & it seemed as if he rushed throws alot. on one occassion out of nickle cover 2 I blitzed with the SS(that was in zone) a few plays later I walked SS up to line the cpu qb audibled & I dropped instead of blitzing. cpu qb threw the ball hot where he should but I picked it for 6 to break the 7-7 tie. crowd let out a gasp!!!

did anyone notice the shirts the fans are wearing in fan cutscenes? anyone think those are editable?????

Love that screens are finally a viable option. Scored two TDs, one on a WR screen and one on a HB screen. Beautiful!

Tried Heisman challenge.......definitely not my cup of tea. Found it rather boring. They must have gave RG3 110 speed or something because it is very easy to out run the defense with him.

I believe the developers said the Heisman Challenge players were rated pretty highly across the board so you could "feel" that they were the best players on the field. Probably a lot like the highschool games in previous years.

After playing a few more games:

I've yet to throw an errant pass. Passing is a tad bit easy. To be expected on what I assume is Varsity.

Cpu offenses are as ineffective as ever. Couple of plays here and there but, not enough to sustain a drive. I've called nothing exotic on defense and have only been scored on in 1 out of 5 games.

Will have to lower kickoff strength. Everything is 5 yds into the endzone.

Jukes, spins, stiff arms need to be more effective. Cpu needs to use them. Only cpu player to juke or spin on me was DeAnthony Thomas on a kick return.

On updates most QB's are in the 50 percentile. Hopefully the stat engine isn't jacked up.

Passing is nice especially being able to throw deep over the shoulder passes out in front of the receiver.

Manual catching is fun. Definitely triggers more animations than not.

QB avoid is nice. I like side stepping or stepping up in the pocket to avoid rush. Actually works.

DT's are still overpowered. I think Warren Sapp, Reggie White, and Ndamukong Suh are on USC's d-line.

Cpu QB's take too many sacks. I had 9 vs Oregon. A couple were because the QB tried to run. Most were because he simply wouldn't get rid of the ball.

Reaction time by defenses on option plays is still too fast.

CPU has to put up a better fight. Hopefully they will on harder difficulty.

RG3 is just GODLY. I literally QB evaded 8 times in a row on the same passing play before throwing the ball. Felt like a bull fighter. And his speed.......wow. I also trucked a DT that must out weigh RG3 by a good 70 or 80 pounds.

Seems as though my concerns about Heisman Challenge is true. Way too easy with these GOD rated Heisman players. Don't even need bullet time because they are so much faster and stronger then everybody on defense.

Play action actually worked for me for the first time in a while. I hit Robert Woods of USC in stride on the streak. Absolutely tosted the defenders.

They said they would have something for E3, so the demo must be it. Maybe they anticipated the backlash of NCAA not having the Infinity engine because this is really early for a demo, which normally wouldn't be out for 3 weeks or so.

Crowd just booed Baylor for not going for it on 4th & 1 on my 45.



and I took a time out to preserve clock and Baylor decided to go for it. Crowd erupts when the offense is shown on the field!

Line backer and receiver match ups seem to matter. Number 81 of Oregon just burnt my linebacker on a go route.

Most likely so.......but even on Heisman level, the AI speed rating don't go up. You really don't have to do special moves at all, you so much faster then everybody you literally can just run past people.
