Texas 99 OVR- hasn't decided on a starting QB on a team that struggled on Offense all season.
Clemson 97 OVR- Gave up 70pts in a BCS game.
    Fresno St. 89 OVR- Really??
Nebraska 91 OFF- Taylor Martinez throws like Terrelle Pryor with a broken arm.
Ohio State 89 OFF- Waaayyy too high. No proven Wr's. Unproven O-Line. Should be a good team, but lack playmakers on O.
Notre Dame 97 OVR- Obviously they haven't made the fumble/ carry rating matter. ****. ND is at best a 7-8 win team this season. Brutal schedule.
Oregon 99 OVR- the worst part is the D is rater higher than the O. C'mon man.
Pittsburgh 89 OFF/ 76 D- If you watch Pitt, Tino Sunseri is what holds them back, the defense carries that team. Backwards rating.
Purdue 87 OVR- only B1G teams worse are IU, and Minnesota. Enough said.
Tulsa 91 OVR- Ridiculous, they lose QB Kinne. How can they be that good?
Utah 95OVR- we all know this is too high. Nothing against the Utes.
Vanderbilt 77 OVR- they are much better than this, See the team below to understand why.
Viginia 89 OVR- read above post. Not sure this team could beat Vandy.
West Virginia 76 DEF- Way too low. At least an 84 on talent alone.
Wisconsin 99 OVR- Again, they lose their QB, top WR and their defense isn't a top unit..... HOW??
Nebraska's 91 OFF is more of a product of a Top 15 rushing offense with every single key offensive player returning including Rex Burkhead, a top 20 overall rusher.

91 is very fair for our offense. 91 for our defense though? I think not. I get that we're known for defense, but it sure didn't show on the field last year. Our defense was miserable.

      Re: NCAA Football '13-Team Ratings

if i was going to rate Notre Dame i would probably have the offence in the high-to-mid 80's based on the fact that they better be breaking in a new QB, the top WR in their history left and they have no depth at WR. the running backs, TE and o-line are very deep and will win games for them.

On defense i think they are a low 90's, probably 91/2 based on the front 7. even with the loss of lynch they still have 3 5* players (including the best LB in the nation) all with playing experience. The LB's and D-line are deep and have lots of talent. what keeps this defense from being the 95 is the secondary, more importantly the corners. The safeties are fine, if not good. Motta is finally playing the right position and Slaughter is very underrated, but very, very good. Corners, different story, Lo Wood sucks, and our best guys is probably Bennett Jackson and Josh Atkinson. both are very athletic, but don't have the experience yet.

OVR rating would probably be 92-93, the schedule is not a very fair assessment of this team this year. there are a lot of teams that would lose 4 most likely

I'm a Wisconsin fan, but a 99 overall? Really? These ratings are way out of wack.

Things happen. Vandy was clearly the better team, but had some unfortunate breaks and stupid plays.. We threw a 70 yard pass down to UT's 1 yard line but it got called back due to a clipping penalty way behind the play that was inconsequential (it was a good call - just a stupid play by our lineman). UT, down 7 late, lines up for a FG and we have a guy come scott free off the edge who lays out to block it, but Palardy kicked the ball so bad it went under the guy who was in perfect position to block it...the ball didnt get 2 feet off the ground and hit some offensive lineman in the back..but our blocker slid into the kicker so it was a penalty..UT scored a TD on the next play..just fluky stuff like that... not to mention the ref blew his whistle on the overtime TD (yes I know Gordon's knee did not hit the ground - but once the whistle blows, inadvertent or not, the play is dead). It happens in football. But we beat Ole Miss by 23, UK by 30, had chances on the last play of the game to beat UGA and put the Arkansas game to OT, lost by 5 at Florida, beat Wake Forest by 34..and like I said before, we have everybody back..and they will be better players than they were last year... 2nd year of the offensive and defensive system. Oh, we will be Northwestern by double digits. Go ahead and book that.

Texas 99? Wisconsin 99? There should only be a few teams that deserve that high of a rating.

Michigan State defense is way underrated and Michigan is overrated yet again. Nothing changes with EA.

                    99 Overall for my Horns?

                    Lol no...

                    I understand maybe a high rating for defense, but 99 D? And 91 O? I'd go with about an 85 O and 95 D

I personally think Minnesota is slightly underrated, as they could make a bowl game this year. However, obviously I understand their lack of success recently.

On another note, I am a little confused. Going by the top players, weren't there more high 90 rated players? Wouldn't that result in fewer 90 overall teams?

Actually AU does. The Prestige ranking, for all intents and purposes, is a purely recruiting attribute. In that regard, Auburn recruits as well as anyone in the nation. Not to mention we just won a National Title a year ago.

The actual number ratings for a lot of these teams though are completely out of whack.

                              Are these guys stoned?

How in the blue hell is WVU's offense only rated a 91? How do teams like UTAH have a better OFFENSE than WVU? I can only think of two or three offenses that are better than WVU's, how do multiple teams have 99 yet WVU is stuck with 91? Why does our defense suck so badly? What grudge does EA have against WVU to constantly rate them this badly.

I could easily argue we should be a 5-star prestige team considering we've won 3 BCS games in 6 years.

                              Jesus H Christ.
