Would you buy a game with excellent gameplay but poor graphics?

Depends on how bad the graphics were. I can't imagine today's consoles producing that bad of graphics. If it was a notch below NCAA 13, I would consider it, but the gameplay would have to be superb.

I bought APF 2k8. So, yes: I would buy a game that was graphically inferior (though not bad) if the gameplay was better.

Gameplay is much more important than graphics especially in a football game...

I would still buy a game if it didn't have great graphics but excellent gameplay. Gameplay is the most important thing in a game

For current & future gen consoles, I can't imagine the graphics being "poor" on any football games released in the future. That being said, if the gameplay were realistic and the graphics were slightly inferior to NCAA/Madden, I would still buy it. I still play the older NCAA games (2003,2004,& 2007) occasionally on XBox simply because the pure gameplay blows away anything EA has put out on current gen.

It just amazes me. The threads that add to the discussion of the game, but "clutter" the forum and are closed vs threads like this which is nothing but an endless debatefest not really tied to the NCAA series or threads on problems that SHOULD BE in the Report thread are allowed to flourish.

I buy OOTP(outside the park baseball) every year and it has no graphics the greatest sports simulation there is. Its text based but because it's so in depth and detailed on everything else, it is by far the most fun sports game I've played. If they made something similar for football, I'd never play ncaa or madden again. Full customization of everything in your "world" is better than any graphics out there.

We all want good graphics, but if the game is unplayable I can only drool in the instant replay mode for so long. All-pro Football 2K8 is my favorite football game on the current consoles, I still play and love it. The animations and physics of that game are WAY ahead of anything the EA has put together. I know that game doesn't look as good, but 2K doesn't have the money that EA has. If 2K would dive into college football (which I pray that they do) I would support that game because I know after they gain money from that franchise it can become what the NBA 2k series has become, amazing.
The current NCAA games look amazing, but they have empty, useless game modes (mascot games, RTG, Heisman Challege) and gimmicks. I want a game that feels like football and not a bunch of robot players sliding around on an ice field like EA football games (and if you disagree with that play APF 2K8 and then tell me the EA players aren't sliding around).

PLEASE 2K COME BACK TO FOOTBALL.

No, the game has to look visually appealing to an extent.

Game play is more important, but if the game is an eyesore, then I'd definitely pass.

Exactly my feelings on this. Gameplay is the most important aspect but it the game can't keep up visually its a no buy for me.

Not just yes but h.e.-double hockey sticks yes, We have already done it & bad graphics won't mean ps1 we are so far ahead of that!!! Perfect game play with online leagues, I could only imagine!!!!!

I bought that game, it's called All-Pro Football.

OK, the graphics aren't "PS1" bad and I wouldn't describe the gameplay as "near perfect" (although it is very good), but you get the point. I can easily sacrifice graphics for good gameplay.
