what some of you are forgeting is i play coach mode so i have no control of the players i just call the plays and the npc plays the game. so i dont return kick offs or play qb or any of that the pc does that, i just call the plays they run.

Unfortunately the qb screen sack issue can't be taken care of with sliders (at least not that I'm aware of) but the defense seems to play alot better, and I was also get it to where the cpu can actually run on me.....granted it was only 1 game, but Toledo's RB put up over a 100yds on me.

Overall,I would say varsity plays a real nice game of football, and I haven't seen any wth moments like I have with heisman.
from what i have gathered from playing this game daily from release is that the cpu screen glitch/problem is directly related to the playbooks being run...what i mean is that it seems that the SPREAD and MULTIPLE playbooks cause teams to run that friggin screen 15 times a gme ..but if you play a team running a PRO offense the problem doesnt seem to be there or be as bad anyway...i have been changing the playbook of my cpu oppenent that run the spread to the ONE BACK default playbook ...believe me it helps

I agree with you on the sliders and playing off of the players attributes. I also do the same as you. It also works with nba 2k basketball games.

It doesn't make any sense when your RB with 96 trucking can't run over a cornerback on Heisman, but your 82 speed WR can burn a corner with great speed on Rookie.

The game shouldn't be making Tim Tebow into Tom Brady (or vice versa) by setting a difficulty. It defeats the purpose of their ratings (which is what people have shown in numerous YouTube demonstrations).
I agree 100%, but if EA wanted to do this they would actually need to make the player ratings (and height and weight) really have an effect on on-field gameplay, and as we know, that's probably not going to happen. It's more than just a problem with the difficulty settings, it's a problem with the engine and how it treats (or, more accurately, ignores) player attributes regardless of the chosen difficulty level.

The game you're suggesting is the game we've all wanted for 7 years now, but there has been no indication that we're going to get it anytime soon.

The problem with the "everything 0" sliders is that EA has set their default sliders at 50. Also, All-American is the default skill level. So, it makes more sense to play at All-American with the sliders all set at 50. We have guys on this board who thoroughly test sliders and although I don't consider myself an expert, I will say that putting every slider at 0 is not realistic for "this" particular video game. I can't speak for MLB The Show or NBA 2k because I never tried them on those games. But, I can say playing at all zero's on this game affects gameplay a lot...and not in a realistic way.

Playing on Varsity gives advantage to the human player and dumbs down the CPU.

Playing on Heisman gives a boost to the CPU and dumbs down the human opponent.

Playing on All-American is supposed to be default equal between the two.

The '0' sliders is an interesting concept. I would take it and suggest then that if you were to boost something, say WR Catch, you are actually giving a global ratings increase to all those players/ratings that slider impacts. That might be worth exploring....

That's what you have t do fr a zero set. I'm at all 0s with catch on 15. Might have to bump it up to 20 though.
The game plays extremely smooth with beautiful collision animations, especially as I'm tweeking some of the ratings.
INT might need a bump though.

What ive seen on AA looks more like tecmo bowl. Linebackers crash the line of scrimmage at the snap. Blockers run right past defenders or try to block guys behind you and get in your way. Every defensive tackle is warren sapp. The Dline ALWAYS closes in when you call a fullback dive, and so on. Im sorry I would rather the game be "dumbed down" then to cheat to hide its weak playcalling.

AA or Heisman is where I play simply because Varsity makes it to equal. I can beat Alabama with UMASS on Varsity, even with a great slider set. Hard to do, yes. Doable, yes. I don't want that. I want to get beat badly every time like I should. I should not hang with 'Bama with anyone lower than a Tulsa, and even that should be like one every 5 or 6 games tops.
