Re: NCAA Football 14 Demo is Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)

I seriously wonder how the NCAA team at EA still have jobs. It's the same pattern every year, they will fix some issues while others stay the same. I will admit the blocking looks noticeably better so I will give them credit for that. However the graphics look terrible, the game looks like some old arcade graphics. I went and played 13 after playing the demo for 14 and the graphics are much more clear on 13.

I just don't understand how the NCAA team all thought this looked more realistic and better. I also find it funny how they continue to add pointless things just to sell the game. Last year was former Heisman winners and this year is the ultimate team. I would argue most people could care less about that and would rather the overall game be improved. Plus you can easily create a former Heisman winner and put them on any team to begin with.

I could also care less about different camera angles, who wants to play the game from coordinator cam anyways. I am, like most other loyal customers am getting sick of their tactics. Why not instead of stupid Heisman or ultimate team features have realistic 85 man rosters instead? It also amazes me how they continue to miss on uniform updates. I'm not talking about uniforms that were released right before the game comes out either.

They have uniform and stadium upgrades that are wrong for years on some teams. I think EA makes enough to hire one employee to make sure every team has the correct/most updated uniform and stadium for the game every year. Then on top of that if they do release new uniforms they want to charge you for it in expansion pack. That's pretty much says we at NCAA and EA are LAZY and not very good at our job so we are not going to put these in and sell them to you. The game already costs almost $70 and you want people to pay extra for uniforms, really?

Speaking of uniforms, Teambuilder was a great idea and they have yet to upgrade or do anything else with that since they first came out with it. Like maybe give us at least 3 different helmet, jersey, and pants options. Yet year after year people continue to pump money into their mediocre game. I am guilty of this as I have continued to buy the game since it came out. I for the first time am seriously considering not buying. My only hope is somehow 2ksports can get back to creating football again. That's they only way things will get better is for EA to have competition.

Let the slider guys work their magic when the game releases. Only then will we know what type of game this is, under the hood.

As for the DB glitch in 13, I honestly can't say I've seen it. I am having lots of fun with NCAA 13
Still using your sliders from '12. Hope you'll be hanging around for '13!

I just had my best drive on any version in a long time. I love running the and taking up a bunch of clock.

              Playing as Ohio State

Sliders are for both user and AI

              Difficulty - Heisman
              QB Accuracy - 30
              WR Catching - 40
              RB Ability - 45
              Run Blocking - 40
Pass Coverage - 60 (might need to be higher for user)
Tackling - 60 (might need to be 55)

I took 5:30 off the clock with 11 runs for 36 yards and went 4 of 7 for 20. Converted 3 4th and 1's. Ended up getting a field goal.

Numbers a re low but it felt really good and seemed like i could have gotten more every play if i had made a better decision.

Edit - Michigan just converted a 3rd down on me and it was amazing-ish. QB dropped back and threw it to his TE. Safety comes up and instead of going for the tackle decides to try and dive to get a hand on it. Misses and the TE runs for 25+. While i would have liked to see him try and break up the pass with a tackle. It was great to see the CPU make a mistake.

Last Night, heisman difficulty, Denard Robinson 1 on 1 with Ohio State free safety doesnt wrap up, QB dropped his shoulder and the FS bounces off and loses balance, no cheesy animation or nothing, impact was realistic,

Every time i play something impresses me. I liked Madden 13 but this game is just way more fun so far. Definitely gonna have fun with RTG.
